over the last few books i started getting the sense that maybe jag and zekk could become good friends if jaina didnt get with either of them... anyone else think this would be possible? or a good idea..
I think that would be a VERY good idea! Let's forget about her love life, and let these guys strike out on their own!
One of the few funny parts of this series was Zekk's and Jag's rivalry, I thought. Its hard to tell if they're still bickering over Jaina or they're just bickering for the heck of it. Sometimes it even seems like they're too busy arguing with each other to notice Jaina. Fury had a good deal of that, and Zekk had a decent role in the series as one of Jaina's partners. Though if we had to lose a character, I'd prefer Anakin over Zekk, but Zekk still has potential, and unlike Tahiri, he hasn't gone completely over the edge, even when he was the "Darkest Knight".
That's part of the reason why I am starting to follow the whole "just friends" scenario. It would allow this sort of relationship to continue. And of course I want Zekk to survive. If he is killed off just to allow Jaina and Jag to get back together, that would be the most shallow act in the history of shallow acts.
So no, I don't think he will die.

I haven't finished the book, only just started, but could Caedus be more annoying mentoring Tahiri in art of command decisions? It's like he's talking to a child. Boring. Silly.
It was a far cry from Jacen/Vergere, Luke/Vergere, or even Jacen/Lumiya.
No spoilers, please.
