Cho ko mo mee booskai. Mya cholo sleemo. Ko po so chee kuskai!

Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo.

May ko sko bai.

Okay okay srsly. Apparently I need actual content to keep this from getting the lockage (who knew?).

So, everyone's all Mandie crazy lately... well, okay, about ten people and one author are Mandie crazy, and everyone else hates 'em, but the POINT is, what about Hutts, eh? They've been marginalized and mocked and blah blah and so on for forever, and everyone seems to forget that they're up there with Humans and Duros as the first spacefaring species, that they were fighting (and winning) wars of conquest and building empires before the Republic was around, and that they're one of the few to remain a completely sovereign entity for nearly all of history.

So let's hear it for the Hutts, and get some variety, dammit. I want a Hutt comic. Or series. Or something.

It's also a far more prevalent language in-universe, and thus more important for characters to know if not readers. I'm surprised this hasn't already been done, TBH.

I'm darned sure I've seen some Huttese resources around the internet. I'll have a look for the links tomorrow and, if I have time, may even attempt to subject everyon to Huttese poetry! devil

Interesting, both of those appear in KotOR and/or KotOR II. Which incidentally has a fair bit of Huttese if I remember correctly? thinking

By the time of Legacy, of course, Mando'a seems to be gaining prominence. I guess Boba Fett's vision comes to fruition, then...

Well really, we need to get Jan and Jon in here because they're the ones right now most actively proliferating the language. Notably, though, it draws heavily on Spanish in both the movies and Legacy.

"Loca" seems to mean "crazy," and "cheeka" probably means "girl." (The Spanish: chica.) Koochoo's interesting, but probably another adjective.

edit: This should start us off nicely.

If I'm not mistaken, he uses the word for idiot and the word for brother, and if I'm not mistaken it's often tossed in with Huttese.

Fringers don't learn languages because they're not influential in their field.

"Rahsa Naba Doe-ah Gola Wookiee Nipple Pinchy!"

I love it...never gets old.

As for the Hutts, YES...MORE.

I've been saying all along they have been pigeon-holed as stupid and inferior...like the universe has passed them by...BULL! They are the most consistent presence in the galaxy, and despite your feelings about their behavior, ethics, morals, or culinary tastes...you have to respect that.

Bring on a comic series...I know Jabba had a short one...but bring us more.

I LOVED the Hutt stuff in the Han Solo Trilogy...give me more of that!

Hutts a fascinating concept...somebody give us more!

Got an idea for ya...Hutts vs. Rakata...BAM! I'll buy 10 copies!

The Hutt stuff in the HST was a fantastic bit of universe-expansion and crime exploration. I want more of that indeed.

Crime, period, has been missing from Star Wars for too long.

QFT

Non-Jedi stuff has been missing from Star Wars for far too long.

I miss smugglers and underworld stuff particularly.
