Very, very interesting...i can see some curious developments, actually the fact that Xamar didn´t try to kill Zayne, but bring him to the Council seems revealing, perhaps he will be the one to confess...
Everything is happening as Gryph had foreseen!

Great, great issue! What a surprise ending. I didn't see that coming! Very interesting "Rohlan" stuff here, too. Rohlagol is finally starting to show his true colors.

Great issue. It set things up for Vindication beautifully, while still managing to be so much more than a mere setup issue.
Xamar was awesome in this issue. After thirty issues of the readers seeing little more of him than standing there as an imposing member of the Covenant, he really came into his own in this issue. It seemed as if he was resigned to die by friendly fire, but at the end of the issue, we found out that he was instead taking matters into his own hands. I'm very, very interested to see where the cliffhanger situation we were left with at the end of the issue goes. It was made all the more interesting by Vrook Lamar revealing his beliefs that the Sith artifacts won't be enough to put the Covenant away. But then, if they were, the vindication that we're anticipating wouldn't take a full four issues, would it?
It was awesome seeing Carth and Saul again. Carth showed why he's so awesome --- doing his duty, but then still finding a way to let Zayne escape. And the parts with Vandar & Vrook were great too --- this was just a great issue, with wonderful pacing of the three different subplots going on within it.
Robinson's art? Hit or miss. Carth, Saul, and Xamar were all drawn quite well, as were the background images such as Coruscant and the Republic fleet. But Zayne, Slyssk, and Gryph... well, they reminded me a bit too much of Bong Dazo. Shudder... Bong Dazo. But I do like his art overall; the art on The Wrath of the Dragon was good, and his penciling is reminiscent of Chris Gosset's magnificent work on Tales of the Jedi: Redemption.
Ahhhh! Stronger and stronger hints at Rohlan and Demagol. He called Zayne human. Human! What kind of a human calls another human "human"?
I also loved Gryph's line --- "Those Hammerheads are gonna kill us all! Normally, on this ship, that means something else." Made me lawl.
Also!! In the letters column, get this: Freddye Lins outright stated "There are no plans to use Kreia." But when asked about Revan, he could neither confirm nor deny. Ahhhhh that means that we'll be getting more Revan soon!!!!xfsejk45lyzkdrylk

Really? That's a shame. I guess the Krynda/Kreia theories are out the window then.

Well, Krynda looks set to bite it in Vindication, unless the prophecy is prevented.
Depending on how she bites it, there is still the remote possibility she survives to become Kreia, but everyone still "[thinks] [she] died in the Mandalorian Wars". It'd explain there being no plans to use her in the comics as she'd be off screen.
Honestly, I think its more likely if Lucien becomes Sion that Krynda was just similar to Kreia to explain why he later sees Kreia as a "mother figure".
I'll be disappointed if we never see her though, even as a one time cameo. Heck, go all the way and tease us rotten with a scene of Arren Kae being "killed".

Wait, what?
So Nomi's dead? And the rest of the TotJ cast?
He actually said "One of the few..."
Nothing to say that Nomi, Tott and the others are dead.
Loved the minis and RPG book ad on the back covers of the two comics, too.

You're most welcome. Big month coming up for the crew -- before "Vindication" starts, the miniatures and the RPG guide will be out. No San Diego for me this year, but for ye GenCon bound: I will be on the SW panel there -- check my site for day and time.
Back to work (and wishing I had time to see the one-day 25th anniversary rerelease of WarGames tomorrow night)...

Really, I can't see Lucien becoming Sion.
Mostly because I don't imagine Lucien having the kind of deep gravelly voice that Sion has.
or the kind of hatred for the Jedi.
NIHILUS is another matter.

Thanks for putting me at ease, Whiskers.
And hip-hip hooray for Krynda=/=Kreia!

I don't imagine Sion's voice was all that gravelly until his throat had been crushed and reconstructed a few times. I've been imagining Lucien with the same sort of depth to his voice (as well as the mild scottish accent) for a while now, however.
In other news, I decided to see if there was anything "Sion-y" about Lucien's surname. Came up with this:
Dray Surname Origin
(English) 1. from the Teutonic name-stem Drag-. 2. (a nickname) Slow, Tedious [a form of Middle English dregh/dreghe; Old English dreogan, to suffer, endure].
Now, "Dray" isn't "Draay"... but I don't think it would be a stretch for the latter to have been based on the former.

I find that about as likely as him being named after the Count of Monte Cristo or Darth Vader being Dutch for Father.
I.e. Not at all.
Basically, I tend to think Lucien Draay is probably a Krunchy.
What is a Krunchy?
A Krunchy is a character that is not tied to anything else in the Star Wars EU. A Krunchy might make a cameo appearance in a cartoon or a video game (or be drawn from them) but is mostly there so he can be developed without someone stealing him away.
Lucien Draay won't be Sion for a very good reason in my mind. He's Zayne Carrick's archnemesis.
We'll see Zayne kill or defeat Lucien because the Exile doing it 15 years down the line won't exactly be thematically satisfying.

You're quite probably right. The fact that there's every chance he isn't Sion, however, doesn't mean I'd be surprised if he wound up being Sion.

True.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kreia did end up being Traya.
But ironically, it's BECAUSE she's had little interaction with Zayne.
