Being as it's from an ad, not the text: no, it shouldn't.

No Invincible spoilers outside of the official thread. Consider this the warning. For right now, all discussion will remain in the official thread.
ATimson - it counts because it's related to Invincible info, and it's a "leak" in some sense. Regardless, it's being treated as a spoiler at this point.

God made man. Man rejected God. God became the man Jesus Christ, died and rose again to life, saving man from himself. The craziest story ever told. The truest.

Ker (or any other mods), since this is a separate book from Invincible, would it be possible to add a warning to this thread and limit Invincible spoilers only to what's in the ad, or at least allow discussion in black bars? There's some interesting stuff in the ad that doesn't relate directly to Invincible, is why I'm wondering.

Without getting into spoilers... it looks very much like this is basically a "loltiff damage control"-type novel.
In fact, I propose they subtitle it that.

I don't think I'm quite as cynical as Trip. The summary in the ad (which StarNeptune added to Wookieepedia, and I've copied into the Invincible thread) rings of LOTF wrap-up/next series set-up to me. Sort of Dark Nest by way of TUF, the latter appropriate given the author.

Well we need a rap up, and Luceno is probably one of the best authors to do it.

I am trying to be optimistic but there's a major sticking point in the description that kills any bit of optimism I have. Can't go into detail as it involved Invincible spoilers.

Well, I think that's a case of working with what's given. If what I think you're thinking about is indeed what you're thinking about, that's not so much a mark against Falcon as it is a mark against Invincible.
If it is indeed a mark at all. It might seem totally outrageous and silly beyond belief, but I'll reserve judgement until I've actually read the stuff.
Also, Christmas time release makes me happy. I would have thought that this was at least a year off.

I'll take a punch in the belly over a kick to something lower down.

Just when I think I'm ready to give up on the post-ROTJ stories entirely...well, this book sounds like a lot of fun! 'Bout time they started delving into the Falcon's past!
