I noted this may 'spoil' this because it implied Ahsoka at very least survives the film, which is something. What appears to be a graphic novel on an Amazon somewhere, with a 25th September release date.
Book Description
Introducing a new, quarterly, graphic-novella series based on the exciting new Clone Wars motion picture and "Clone Wars" animated television series! In "The Shipyards of Doom," Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker lead an elite Clone Trooper strike force to destroy the Separatists' most important shipyards. But when the enemy is tipped off to their plan, the two Jedi heroes are forced to rely on help from Anakin's new, and still "wet behind the ears" Padawan, Ahsoka. But what can she do against the droid armies of General Grievous? Written by Henry Gilroy, the head writer for the TV show, Star Wars Clone Wars: The Shipyards of Doom packs all of the excitement of the animated series into a full-length, all-ages comics adventure!
My biggest question is this;
'Most important shipyards'?
Fondor, Feorest or Neimodia? I'm hoping for the first two, but expecting the latter, as it is. It sounds awfully like Sidious wants Anakin's Padawan dead, mind you. I wouldn't be surprised if he tipped off Grievous for the single reason that she will need to die for Anakin to fully turn to the dark side...?

96 pages, quarterly - I guess this is the new "Clone Wars Adventures" series in digest format. Could be interesting if it's only one story instead of three or four.
And by the way, I don't think they will kill Ahsoka (aka "The Kid Audience Identification Character")... I suppose at the end of the series, she'll levae Anakin for a new master or something like that. But killing her off would be a bit too harsh for a series that's still largely aimed at kids. But I have to admit that Sidious would probably want to kill her, as this would not only create dark emotions but also severe another tie to the Jedi Order.

Considering the casualty rates of the Clone Wars, its not like Sidious would even have to intentionally plan her death, she could die in some other random situation. Though its not like Anakin hasn't already gone through enough traumatizing and dark experiences to push him very close to the darkside.
On the shipyards thing, hm, sounds very interesting. Shipyards usually aren't that big of a thing in Star Wars these days, especially with how... vague many of the big wars seem to be these days. Wasn't Bilbringi a Seperatist stronghold as well? Though then again, its not like the Clone Wars are all that detailed as well, with a victory here or a loss there easily ignored or forgotten by any other EU work.
And which Neimodia do you mean? I thought there were several, but I think most of the Neimodian capital planets were taken near the end of the war, and were pretty much wrecked. I remember one book (the Darth Vader one probably) mentioning that the homeplanets of many Seperatists were so wrecked, that the viablility of their species was in doubt, or something like that.
I wish they would at least show more ships though. Maybe they'll show that Victory vs. Bulwark battle mentioned in the New Essential Chronology (though maybe that was earlier in the war) or something like that struggle.
And the Clone Wars Adventures had some dark-ish stories too, like that one where some clones sorta adopted a kid, then gunned down some Jedi in front of that kid. The books were mostly kiddy stories, but some were grim and dark, especially near the end of the Clone Wars era.

You know, it could be an entirely new shipyard we've never heard of too.

Agreed. However, if they do decide to use an already established shipyard, I would love for it to be Foerost. Home of the Bulwark Fleet. This would be a nice little tie in to Wallance's amazing NEC sections on the Clone Wars. Furthermore, its proximity to Coruscant makes it a very big threat.
Plus, if this does work out timeline wise, we would finally get to see the [i]Victory/i]-class Star Destroyer in action.

Ugh.
Not the plot itself, but the fact that it looks like we're going to be seeing more unanswered Republic victories.
