Is it possible that we could have the KotOR comic book series as novels someday?

Why on Earth would we want that?

Well we could get more information about Zayne and the rest of the gang if they had novels of him and it would be like that recent Hyperspace short story about Zayne but would be much longer of course. happy

Please don't say things like that.

I'd say "no" to novels. Unless written by or heavily contributed to by JJM himself.

Novels in the same period would be fine... but I'm not keen on having Zayne and Co. in that format.

I think we're getting information at a good pace right now, in the best print medium for SW EU. Since SW is a visually-driven narrative, for SW Movies > Games > Comics > Novels.

The idea of KOTOR novels makes Baby Jesus cry/rapes my childhood/tases me bro.

No thanks, I'd rather KotOR not be ruined by Del Rey.

Wait, this sounds familiar...

The occasional short story is good, but I don't think we need an entire novel. If it's not Baroque, don't fix it.

Novelisation of the KotOR series? I'd rather have new material.

They did a poll on the OS ages ago about which character would people like to see a novel of. If the comics don't end up covering them, I'd like to see a novel covering the Sith Civil War and the rise of Traya, Nihilus and Sion. Of course, if KOTOR3 answers the questions, no need, but if not then I'd like to see it explored one day.

Also, despite my objection to KotOR being turned into a novel, I'd would accept TotJ being made into one on the basis they've retconned it so much and made it into a far bigger conflict than the comics ever made it seem that I'd enjoy the Great Sith War being revisited.

If it is written by JJM, then I think it would work fine. However, just look at the most recent SW novels. DelRey/authors/whoever totally ruined the EU characters. I don not want to see the same happening with Zayne & co.

It would work for the game characters. It's kind of different. We didn't get a lot of info on them and their origin (KOTOR II was a game especially bad at explaining things), so the new material on them would be appreciated.
KOTOR comic characters are something entirely else. We do get a fairly good insight into their story in the comics and it's, if I might add, a pretty high-quality material. I wouldn't want to see anyone changing that.

As others have stated, I would only want to see novels featuring Zayne and company written by JJM. I'd love to see John get the opportunity to publish additional short stories like "Labor Pains".

Short stories in the era? Love it. Novels? Meh. Only if they stay well away from everything going on with the main cast of KotOR, and only if they treat the characters respectfully. Even then, I think them largely unnecessary; the comics and the games are really doing a very good job of things right now.

I'd rather not even have any in the era. A Mandalorian Wars novel with the name "Traviss" gracing the cover is a recurring nightmare of mine...

I'm thinking a Karpyshyn/Traviss collaboration set smack bang in the heaviest continuity of that era.
