I'm new the forums, and may be missing some prior revealed info... but could someone fill me in? What is in store for us after Invincible comes out in the LotF series? Has another series following it in the timeline been announced?
Please do keep in mind that announcing who survives Invincible is, in fact, a spoiler. We're making this a spoilers thread, but we can't have spoilers posted indiscriminately around the boards.

Yeah James Luceno is writing Millenium Falcon. It's coming out late December. Han and Leia go off to find the origins of the Falcon and run into conflict. Don't know if I should give out spoilers of the plot summary outside of the Invincible thread so I won't but it ties in with the events of Invincible

Hm...that does sound rather boring, if I may say so.
I wonder why Han and Leia are now suddenly interested in the origin of the Falcon?
I'd love a few more books after LotF, especially concerning the Jedi. But not necessarily another war.

References in Invincible? Curious. I had assumed the Falcon novel was just going to be some kind of life of Darth Vader style thing. This actually sounds rather intriguing as if there may be a dark secret waiting to be discovered. I suddenly want the Falcon to be a Silentium scout ship a la Sovereign in Mass Effect.

That's the name of the book: Millennium Falcon? What is it with star wars and kindergarden simple names?
It's like there's a book about Luke Skywalker, so they call it Luke Skywalker.

My utilisation of complex locution to ask what's more pathetic, fans who worship their movie actors, or the actors who couldn't give a damn, is more a reflection of my own superincumbent mental actuity than any circumscribed lexicon. Don't you agree?

Uhh, what? Origins of the Falcon? Wasn't it just built and then handed around to different owners? Don't Han and Leia have anything better to do? o_O

There is an extremely reasonable motive for their newfound interest in the Falcon given in the brief synopsis we have. Go read it if you don't mind extreme Invincible spoilers.

Oh, of course he will.
In the TV series. Because that'd be really cool, just like a girl Jedi or something. Yep. Really cool. Really very cool and excellent and good and OK. Really very acceptable and tolerable.

You mean like Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor?
I always felt that title was a bit silly. Not as bad as Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader though.

ah!
So Millenium Falcon will detail the life of the ship from foundry to present.
and then the TV show will come out and show that Anakin spent his spare time during the clone wars piecing together a YT-1300 in the Jedi temple hangar.
Yoda flies to Kashyyyk in it and leaves it there, where Chewbacca starts flying it until he picks up Han Solo.
The whole Lando "bet" thing has been misunderstood for 30 years...Lando never really "owned" her...he just pretended to as an inside joke, which Han plays along with.
The "presence" Vader senses in ANH...it's not Obi-wan...he sensing this was his old rusty ship.
"I want that ship...not excuses"...he really DID want that ship.
You know that big monitor in his hyperbolic chamber? He keeps a wallpaper of the Falcon on it.
Vader loses his hand, Falcon loses array...same battle...can't be coincidence, can it?
I bet the ghost of Anakin was giving the falcon a little force push to escape the flames of the Death Star...maybe they'll add it to the the special, special bronze edition!
Maybe we'll find out Luke/Leia and Jaina/Jacen were all conceived in the same bunk!
Ok...I'm done.

Heh.
This is amusing because, prior to TPM (and any knowledge of the EU), I had always assumed that the Millennium Falcon had originally been *Obi-Wan's* ship and that he'd kept tabs on it through Chewbacca, who he was in frequent contact with.
Ergo:
Han Solo: You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?
Obi-Wan: Should I have?
Was a gag directed at the audience before the audience even knew it was a gag. I also had it that it had been Obi-Wan (with Anakin and Chewie) who had made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.
Lucas, however, went with the droids being the common element rather than the Falcon and Chewie. Which was maybe a wiser move.

I like that better. Much better.
Also, didn't old material say that the Falcon may have been used to ferry about Purge survivors, anyway?
