Love the audiobooks. LOTF was better in retrospective when going back through the audios than when reading, and the narrator does an excellent job.
You should also try Audible.com.
Haven't seen Invincible pop up yet either, but I'm watching for it as well.

"Dramatized" I listened to parts of Crimson Empire & was like "eh", but since there's a audio book thread i'm interested in what are some of the best "dramatized" audio books to get? I have a handful but since i got my 2nd ipod & it has loads of extra space, i can put em on & listen at work or wherever..
-Holy!! They're expensive! (( Audible.com ))

There aren't many dramatized titles: the original trilogy radio dramas, Dark Empire/Dark Empire II (Empire's End was dramatized, but was only available as part of the long-out-of-print boxed set release; it's no longer available on disc or electronically), Crimson Empire, Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic and Dark Lords of the Sith, and the Dark Forces novella trilogy.
Most of the available Star Wars audiobooks aren't dramatizations, but rather prose read aloud.

And yet much cheaper than the releases on disc. Especially if you have a membership.

Thanks bro..
--There's two guys i always enjoyed their audio books. The dude who did Jedi Quest.
& My favorite is Jonathan Davis.. He really made me a believer in the quality of audio books..
--I just listened to Outbound Flight & was amazed at how much i enjoyed the Audio Book version compaired to the actual book..
--Anyone have a good setup procedure? Like a good cozy setup i mean.. I know nothing beats my porch for reading outside at night & my couch in my den is pretty sweet because i have a sweet light that has a dimmer. The only dimmer in the whole house. Booklights are history for me.. But to just sit there & listen to a audio book without doing anything else seems empty imo..
IDEAS?

Don't know about downloading from itunes. I only get the SW novels via audiobook myself, but in regular CD set format. And speaking of SW audiobooks, I'm hoping there will be more audiobooks with the new Del Rey contract like there was pre-LOTF when all the novels got audiobook adaptations. A lot of great books, or at least books I was interested in, never got the audio adaptation treatment, like the Darth Bane books, the Death Star novel, and the upcoming Corsucant Nights books.
As far as I can gauge, The Force Unleashed novelization and the Clone Wars TV tie-in novels are the only upcoming SW books getting audiobook releases. I'm hoping the new contract will allow for some other upcoming books to be released as audiobooks like Millenium Falcon and Luke Skywalker & the Shadows of Mindor.

Cheaper than CDs, yes, but not cheaper than via Audible. The only advantage that iTunes has that I'm aware of is that the DRM can be removed.
(I also feel that there's a quality difference, but without having done any double-blind testing myself, or even found any online by others, I'm not willing to commit to that. Both use the same bitrate and number of channels; Audible, however, uses MP3 where iTunes uses AAC. At ~128 KbPS, AAC is generally higher quality; but when you drop down to ~32 KbPS, I don't know if that still holds. Audible also uses VBR, which the iTMS might not.)

Well since you're still waiting tell me what's your 1st audio book was what color was the couch etc
--Mine was- Outbound Flight. Followed by Jedi Quest. I think it was Quest. The one w/ Padawans Anakin & Tru Veld. I couldn't finish it because it seemed to drag out. But i'm ready to go again since i have patience now in the "Dark wait"( looong time inbetween novels).
--Outbound Flight was really well. I had already read the book and was surprised at the way my experience changed with listening. I listened on windows at my living room PC. Ipods are the best thing to happen to Audio books....
While waiting thought #2--Somewhat related to Audio books--Anyone get a Ebook reader yet? I saw one at Borders and me & wife we're in awe. I forget price other than it was expensive. Sony made it & i want one bad! But if this becomes popular then they need to include a disc with books because i don't know how else to get it in digital format. Great way to keep our boooks mint eh..
