Witches of Dothamir

Gang, I have a question concerning the witches. Now I know that we have talked about flying, hovering, force flight, levitation until we turn purple in the face.
But my mind is a little hazy on this. In the Courtship of Princess Leia novel from Wolverton (1995), where did it state that the Witches could fly/hover/levitate? I know that the Dark Side Sourcebook (2001) and the Revised Core Rules Book (2003), and the new Updated Rules Book (2007) mention that first of all force flight is a force power, and that the Witches of Dothamir are the ones that can do it.
Now the question is, was this something that the roleplaying game created for story content, or was it mentioned in the book? I havene't read the book in a long time, but if I remember correctly, wasn't it just Luke that force levitated down from the sky after his fighter blew up in the sky? If that wasn't the only one please tell me in what part of the book does it imply that the Wicthes had that force flight/levitation/hover ability.

Hi, I haven't read the book for a while either but I remember that some of the witches did hover/fly at lest twice in the book. The first night Han and company were with the mountian clan and the witches hovered outside the spot Han was. Or something like that. The second was when they had the big battle at the end of the book. I don't remember what happen. Good book though...

I recall Luke flying levitating (thus literally demonstrating himself to be a "Skywalker"), but no one else so far as I can remember.

Luke didn't fly or hover so much as slowed his descent to the ground. He pushed against the air and the ground with the Force, slowing his descent.

I know the first scene you're talking about. I think it was Baritha who was hovering in the air and using the Force to change her features so she looked like Leia. As for the second scene, I don't recall that one.

I've listened to the audiobook, but haven't read it yet.

I haven't read the book in over ten years, but oddly enough remember most of what happened in it (Han Solo, whuffa hunter!).

I almost bought the novel a few weeks ago, but decided that paying bills was more important. I'll buy it sooner or later.

-Real life always seems to interfere w/ me & Star Wars for some stupid reason.
---Seriously though, i wish i knew then(16-18) living at home W/ NO-BILLS, what i know now etc...The only thing left to show for my no Bills lifestyle when i was 16-18 is a full box of Spawn,X-men & Wolverine comics thataren't worth anything..I'd trade all of em for something SW...
---I just got my best friend (whom we started reading teh same day back in Heir to Empire, to read Courtship & he too puts it in his top 3 of all time...
---i think what makes it so awesome is all the new things introduced into the books setting. Rancors(domesticated), Mega force uasers-light & dark,,New planet, Prince Isoder & his PMF(plotting mutha F-er) mom, remnants of the Old Republic(Chuunthor sp?) And bad-@ss Han Solo! The books was a sweet read. I'd love a similar book right after Millenium Falcon about say Val & his dad on a books length adventure...

Didn't the Nightsisters all fly out a window or something at one point?

'333, don't let it bother you. That book was filled with superhuman feats. I still loved the read, but it stretched realism a bit. It's actually a damn good book, and even very well written. I can't say that about a SW book often.

My utilisation of complex locution to ask what's more pathetic, fans who worship their movie actors, or the actors who couldn't give a damn, is more a reflection of my own superincumbent mental actuity than any circumscribed lexicon. Don't you agree?

Complete with C-3P0's "Han Solo, What a Man!" song and the best line in all of the EU, "Kiss my Wookiee!!!" I love "The Courtship of Princess Leia."

Yeah...I think they were fighting with the heroes in a TIE Fighter landing bay or something like that, and had to fly out of a window in retreat.
