I'm a fan of Post-NJO novels, yet I just read Darth Band: Path of Destruction. It was the last in my collection to read and now I'm thinking about reading some New Republic books. Here is what I have in my small collection:

Darth Bane: Path of Destruction
Outbound Flight
Labryinth of Evil
Revenge of the Sith
Allegiance
Tales from Mos Eisley Cantina
Shadows of the Empire
Vector Prime
The Unifying Force
All 9 Legacy of the Force
Millenium Falcon
Outcast

So what would you all recommend I pick up? Thrawn trilogy? X-Wing series?

Definitely read TTT, its pretty much required reading. Also check out I, Jedi and the Hand of Thrawn duology. That should keep you busy for a while.

I figured TTT would be the suggested path. I will do just that and hope to return with a positive feeling about the series.

You only have the first and the last books of NJO? That's like ordering a hamburger and only getting two buns. The real meat of the NJO is in the middle.

Yeah, I picked Vector Prime up around the time of Sacrifice and I just didn't get into all of the Vong names and technology. It was like going to Mexico for a day; I knew the basics but wouldn't be able to keep up a conversation. After reading tidbits about Jacen in the Jedi vs. Sith handbook I was interested in how he killed Onimi and that is why I bought TUF. Also, it didn't take long for many to voice their opinion about multi-author multi-book series and the fact that the continuity of LotF turned me away from reading all 19 books of the NJO series; but I was already half-way through with LotF. Although, I really enjoyed the two that I have.

I'm about halfway through The Hutt Gambit, and I have a few questions:

If Han was in the imperial navy for a bit, then why does he seemed so suprised to see the Death Star for the first time in ANH? Yeah I know it was a "secret" and all. The whole Maw Installation thing, but still, you know how rumors around work get started! How could he have not known? Or at least heard things?

Secondly, Han's blood stripe. The book mentions that he got it for doing something overtly heroic, but is very vague as to the nature of the act. Anyone know how he got his stripe?

The Death Star was a secret to everyone in the Empire, save Palpatine, Vader, Tarkin, their trusted advisers and those who actually worked on the project. Han was never assigned to the Death Star or any of the work details, so he would have had no way to hear about it.

Okay, big secret, I figured that. So how'd he get his stripe?

I've recently read No Prisoners and it made me curious about Callista. I know she makes her first entrance in Children of the Jedi, but are there other books she's in, too?

Yeah, she's featured prominently in the two books that follow CotJ; Darksaber and Planet of Twilight. Additionally, she made an appearance in Traviss' Republic Commando: Order 66.

Darksaber isn't bad, but the Hambly books are pretty awful.

Yeah, Darksaber was pretty good. I'd pick it up if you pick up any book featuring Callista.

Alright I took a break from I, Jedi at about 250 pages left and finally am getting back into it. I was going to read the black fleet crisis, but I think I am just gonna skip to the HoT Duology. I was wondering if after that I should just jump into the NJO series. I kind of want to get into more luke and mara and the twins.

Also on a side note, what is a Quirt? I get that its some kind of small creature? Or something that Tavira has, but what exactly is it?
