Seems like Zahn's novels are all pretty much tied in together--I think reading his novels should make for a good next project.
Ah. I've heard the Yevetha and Fallanassi mentioned briefly in later EU books, but they've never really gone in-depth about them. I think I'll look at Black Fleet before the Corellian Trilogy simply because the story is less familiar to me. Thanks!
Edit: What about Dark Nest? Should I look at that before or after Black Fleet? Also, is The Truce At Bakura worth looking into?

Truce at Bakura is rather good. Very nice characterization and a plot that for once doesn't have Imperial villains.

Zahn tends to make his books interconnected in some manner (HOT's plot revolves around a throwaway line in TTT, for example, and SQ & OBF elaborate on events and characters from both series), though his Allegiance book is mostly unconnected (except for Mara's presence), it will have a followup in the coming years.
Zahn also collaborated with Stackpole often, so their books complement each other well (Stackpole has said that "I, Jedi" almost functions as a middle chapter of the HOT duo, thematically)- and also why they co-wrote the multipart novellas in the New Republic and Empire anthology novels.
Truce at Bakura I wasn't crazy about- it's not terrible, but the entechment thing seemed a bit too Star Trek to me, and so it felt out of place. However, the broader strokes aren't bad. I haven't read it since it came out, so I'll admit my recollection of the details are a bit hazy and that my impression at the time was probably tinted by TAB being the first book out after TTT was published, so it was certainly exclipsed by TTT's shadow by comparison.
As for Dark Nest- I commented on that in my initial response to youur post.

Alright, maybe I'll hold off on Bakura until after I get through the three trilogies. I expect I'll pick it up eventually, but I know the general plotline thanks to later novels, and the fact that Kathy Tyers wrote one of my least favorite novels in the NJO doesn't really score it any points. Thanks everyone for all your input!

Where was Han between Vector Prime and Hero's Trial? Is there any lit anywhere that describes in more detail his drunken escapades?

I remember him appearing morose and fairly drunk in the Dark Tide Dulology. I don't think anything really centered on Han until Hero's Trial. It's kind of ironic. The preview to next week's Invasion's issue has Leia explaining that Han won't be around for a while (as he was probably drunk somewhere).

Yeah, I remember there was a little mention of him in Dark Tide II where he looked pretty rough.

Alright, a bit of a complicated question here (and it might even warrant its own thread): How did Governor-General Micamberlecto die?
Looks like a stupid question, right? Thing is, I can't find his death anywhere in the first book of the Corellian Trilogy:
Ambush at Corellia
, which is supposedly when he kicks the bucket. According to this
Wook
article, Mickey is killed when the Human League bomb the Coronet House in their raid. But in the book...that's simply not how it happened. Micamby is shaken up, but with not even a broken bone (p. 290) and later he's with Han and Leia when they watch Thrackan make his threatening video (p. 293). Some time after that, the book ends, and as far as we know, Micamberlecto is alive and well.
So how does the GG die? Does he die at all, and is the Wook simply wrong? Or does he die later in the trilogy? Does it say later in
Assault at Selonia
or
Showdown at Centerpoint
how he went? (I don't have time to go looking through those two books and wouldn't really know where to begin anyway.) Thanks for the help.
Also,
Mickey's own article
offers no help, being even more vague than the above linked article, simply stating that he was killed by the Human League in 18 ABY and replaced by Marcha.

Showdown at Centerpoint establishes that Thrackan captured him in the government center and had him executed; it's implied after torturing him for kicks. Thrackan intended for the official story to be that he died of injuries sustained in the initial attacks.

I am almost positive that this question has been asked before, so forgive the redundancy. What happened to all the clones? After the Jedi Purge did the remaining ones become the Stormtroopers we now know? Did they retire? Have any been spotted other places? I seem to remember one mentioned in LSATSOM, but I haven't really seen anymore mentioned.

Is
Last Stand at Jabiim
any good? My LCS has it and I'm considering picking it up.
It, along with
Light and Dark
and
The Last Siege, The Final Truth
are the only three out of the nine CW volumes I don't own/haven't read, and I definitely plan on picking the latter two up someday. Problem is, my LCS doesn't have
them
.

Definitely, the Jabiim storyline is one of my favorites in the entire Republic/CW run. The trade also includes "Enemy Lines" which focuses entirely on Anakin and A'Sharad Hett. Seeing as how you're a Legacy fan I think you might enjoy that one.

Jabiim is hideously overrated. It's a passable arc, but no more than that. It's gritty, and has a reasonable villain in Stratus, but Blackman's just not capable of deep enough storytelling to pull any of it off. There's really no characterization in the entire damn thing, when the whole point of the story is characterization. It's a passable superficial action read, but no more than that. The story packaged with it, though, is John and Jan, featuring Anakin and A'Sharad Hett, and it packs more characterization and depth and interest into one issue than Blackman put into four.
So I'd say it's probably worth getting, but don't have any illusions about the main storyline.

I enjoyed Jabiim. I loved the art. Good story if it was probably a bit overrated. Light and Dark and the Last Siege are fantastic though. If you have to go for one I'd go for Light and Dark for sure. Really, you must get Light and Dark. It's a simply brilliant trade.
But if your LCS only has Last Stand on Jabiim get it
. The CW trades are all fantastic. When they were Brothers not so much but all of the others are outstanding.
