If you liked the first book (The Paradise Snare) I suggest you read the other two as well (The Hutt Gambit, Rebel Dawn). Brian Daley's trilogy (often called the "Han Solo Adventures") are not to be overlooked either. They don't have anything to do with the PT but they're very fun reads and they tie in nicely with Rebel Dawn. They're short novels so you'll typically find them collected together in some kind of omnibus.

They are ever so popular here in Lit and are quite possibly the strongest series in the EU. I thought it was just me, but I also think that this series is the best one I have read so far. I started with the Med Star Duology, as I read on Wookieepedia that characters from that Duology also star in the Coruscant Nights Trilogy. I thought both Med Star books rocked! (Den Duhr, Kaird the Nediji and I-5YQ rule!) I finished the first part of the Coruscant Nights Trilogy recently and loved it too. However, I am reading the books chronologically now, so the first 5 Jude Watson novels of the Last Of The Jedi series are up first before I can read the second book of the Coruscant Nights Trilogy.

Does the Coruscant Nights Trilogy have a lot of Vader in it? Anyone?
Arawn_Fenn posted:The second book actually has the most Vader, there's a lot of interaction between him and a certain character. The first book has one of the best Vader moments, but not enough Vader in general; in the third book his function is largely performed by a new character, such that he steps back and almost doesn't seem like himself as much as in the previous book. Unfortunately there is no Vader POV in the entire trilogy, and I thought the Maul and Sidious POV was one of the best things about Shadow Hunter. His role in the first book loosely ties into Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor.

Darth_Phoenixdude posted: Another question. Who has read The New Jedi Order series? Is it any good? I own all novels of this series, but I am intimidated by the size of the entire series. What do you people think?
Darth_Phoenixdude posted:The first Coruscant Nights book has Vader in it, but mostly it's through encounters with other characters, such as his personal aide Haninum Tyk Rhinann who is scared to death of him (who wouldn't be) and Nick Rostu. We do not get to see events from Anakin's perspective sadly, which would have been very interesting. Nevertheless, it's one of the best SW novels I have read so far.
