Death Star is the worst! I'll say it again. It was the worst EU novel I've ever read.

You really, really, really need to read more EU.

May I introduce you to Barbara Hambly?

lol. Actually I never read any Hambly.

Due to my desire to read all the EU, I have. Children of the Jedi is the only Star Wars book that took me more than a few years to read, and I had to restart it twice because I kept getting lost. I liked Planet of Twilight, though.

Wow, what an entertaining book.

Now this is what the live-action series should be like.

Lots of interesting, flawed characters, each with arcs of their own.
Very atmospheric, picks up nicely where RotS left off.

I really like Reaves's writing, very refreshing and humorous compared to the standard kind of writing Star Wars-books usually employ. I don't mind the big words, when in context you get the gist of them even if you don't know exactly what they mean.

I found it interesting that there was a focus on in-galaxy questions other books usually gloss over, like droid sentience, how much humans dominate the galaxy compared to other species, and what becoming one with the Force really means and how not every Jedi might be thrilled by the prospect.

Also, Vader was badass.

When is this book in the timeline?

It's hard to believe Vader can be out doing all that when he just got 65% of his body burned off three days ago. It must be months later, right?

Also, guess Typho is also going to eat it.

I believe it is supposed to be 2-3 months after Mustafar.

Isn't that kinda soon? He already has a reputation like he's been in the biz for 5-10 years. No matter how much force ability you have, you cannot recover that fast.

So then, Dark Lord, Jedi Twilight and Dark Times all take place at the same time roughly? It's funny that the book doesn't place itself in the timeline.

Jedi Twilight is clearly post-Dark Lord.

Jedi Twilight definately comes after Dark Lord. My question is, how are the two Medstar novels which come between Darth Maul:Shadow Hunter and Coruscant Nights? I figured they were related as they have a couple of the same characters ( I5 and Den), as well as a whole bunch of references in Twilight. Are they pretty good - worth reading?

Actually, I think he was walking around minutes afterwards.

If you liked Darth Maul and Twilight, then I definitely recommend the Medstar novels. I love them, and they do answer a lot of questions when it comes to I5, Den, and Kaird especially.

No. The novel and the other books said he was in surgery for days. That Sidious paced for many many hours.

I think it's lame, but it wasn't my point. He been around for 3 months, but he's already got a galaxy wide rep and has worked with every undercover operative and double agent on Coruscant and beyond. All while more dead than alive and all manners too.

It's just not very believable.....

The point was that he was already "recovered" in ROTS.

Darth Vader appears on national television by the Emperor.

Before the Holonet appears, that does tend to do a lot of stuff.

Especially if Sidious declares publicly, which he did, Darth Vader destroyed the Jedi.
