Not that a little thing like that will stop me from buying the book either way, just though I'd ask before hand. I've got to swing my non-local comic book shop sometime to get this TPB this week or next. Either that or just wait for my local Barnes and Noble to get it, which should be sometime in the next few weeks.
The only cover in the CotD TPB is issue #14 but it is one of the best looking trades I own.
Not entirely true. The front cover of the trade itself is from one of the issues, and so is the art on the back. The Obi-Wan flashback issue.

One thing I noticed reading CotD a second time today was the spelling of Darth Cadus was changed to the proper, Caedus. I'm not sure if an explanation for the misspelling of the Sith lord was ever given. I had thought it was deliberately misspelled to show passage of time and perhaps the incidental nature of Caedus' "reign". That his name is already misspelled a mere ninety some years after he's gone. Guess I was wrong.

This is probably off the subject a bit, but oh well. I've been re-reading the first two Legacy TPBs in order to smoothly transition into Claws of the Dragon. But I have a question. The imperial knights that gaurd Fel, are they Jedi? Are thay as strong in the force as the Jedi? Did they somewhere along the line come out with a force weilding human cooky cutter machine to produce these guys? Are they kind of a grey area in the force kind of like those dudes in I,Jedi that protected Tavira?

Hi, in germany one only gets the single issues so I took a look in the German version and it was fine to me. (Although I always buy the American version (that is way more expensive than it should be but meh)(Really it costs over here 6 euro 50. which is about 10 US$)

Sometimes a mistake is just a mistake. The beauty of collecting in tpb and the use of modern tech in printing is that we can correct mistakes when we find them.

They're not Jedi. They believe they serve the Force as embodied by the Emperor since the Emperor and the Empire represents Order and that best serves the Force, in their view.No cookie cutters but they mostly wear a uniform to signify that Order except when going undercover -- which would be sort of silly. Some IK obviously believe they are BETTER than the Jedi. Gray? Matter of opinion and debate which I certainly not intending to squelch.<g>

If you work for a cable company, maybe, otherwise you (or your parents) are paying for that "free" TV. I see three or four issues a month to be a much more reasonable "fee" than the insane rates the cable (or should i say ad?) companies charge.

Well, you know, can't see which comic you're looking at from the side. A TPB's got a side. Or is that a back?

I see, so would I be wrong in assuming that the IK approach the force as more of an occupation rather than a way of life as the Jedi do? They all seem to have (for lack of a better reference), "police issue" light sabers, whereas Jedi seem to have a right of passage in that when they are ready they assemble their own. Do the IK have a similar ritual or is it a case of you get one when you graduate from the academy??

Yeah it's more of a job than a way of life but they're in for life (i think). They don't have the dogma or rediculas religous aspect to their Force connection. To them it's a tool to be used in service to their Emperor. Their uniforms and unisabers are a visual testament to their devotion to the Emperor over the Force (and anything else for that matter....unless you're antares draco and getting it on with the Emperor's daughter).
The IK's are, IMHO, the BEST thing to happen to SW since SW. I have LONG desired a Force-using group who isn't caught up in good and evil. "evil always corrupts" my freakin eye.

Mani,
Ok, if I was the writer of said trade I'd be really annoyed with the sporadic release of my material. It takes sometimes a few days or weeks for Amazon to get a trade that was in comic shops weeks earlier.
* The simplest solution? Buy it from someone else! There are other retailers out there, quite a few every bit as good as Amazon, if not better, they just don't have the high profile or marketing budget.
Novels, video games, and movies all have a set release date. There is a way of tracking how well you're work is doing.
* Actually, it's more like dates. A comic book will be released by US publisher on date X, by UK publisher on date Y. Some online retailers will secure copies from the Us source so having them earlier, others will opt for the UK release - perhaps due to increased shipping cost.
It's like releasing a movie on 9 different dates throughout the month. It would really stick in my craw if my work was out there but no one could get it cause Amazon or whoever doesn't have it yet.
* For some weird reason Amazon has always been rubbish in regard to the dates they give on pre-orders and TPBs, I'm always sceptical of their dates, despite there being times when they're right.
I would think a large amount of trade sales come from Amazon and other online stores. This can't not be a frustration for writers and artists alike.
* All the creators can do is get the word out the collection is available and trust to the ingenuity of their fans to acquire it!

Oh, I do. Amazon or whoever is great for catching up on trades. When I want a trade the day it comes out I pre-order from my local comic store. No fuss. No muss. One thing I will note while picking up DT #12 today, My local comic-book-guy tells me that to him (his opinion. Not mine) DH is screwing up as he's been trying to get Shards and that was on backorder and now CotD which he says is also backed up right now. He's often in a snarky mood though.

*I knew someone might get me on this. It's true that UK is often different than US/Canada release dates and that extends all over the World but every store got Dark Times #12 today. They won't get it next week. It's today and today only. At least on this side of the pond. It's that kind of continuity I'd want as a writer and consumer. But a wiser man than I said:
