I don't really see Cade redeeming anyone. Then again, I'm not too far along in Legacy.

I'm not so sure Cade is in the position to redeem anyone considering how often he ends up with the Sith eyes phenomenon these days. The guy's right on the edge of darkness every issue, despite him standing firmly in opposition to the Sith Empire and Krayt.
Which, as someone else pointed out recently, is probably why the Hidden Temple Jedi Council rejected his plan to assassinate Krayt... they think it would push him over the edge. Perhaps the more appropriate question is will Celeste Morne help to bring Cade back firmly in the Light?

Um, no, I really don't see that happening, especially as Celeste is probably going to be at her worst by the Legacy era, as the Legacy comics has the longest Vector arc, aside from KotOR of course. Cade's not really into redemption, he's more into the "kill the Sith!" mindset. Heck, if he saw Celeste, he might a) hit on her, or b) run away after seeing her Rakghoul-zombie converting powers, or c) try to kill her.
If anyone had a chance to redeem Celeste, it might've been Zayne, but he's long dead by the later era (at least I'd hope he's dead, I don't want him stuck in a stasis or living unnaturally long), or maybe Rebellion era Luke, otherwise there's no one else. Although there are more Jedi in the Legacy era than during Dark Times or Rebellion, and they are Luke's New Jedi Order, but... mainly, when the Muur Talisman turns up, its going to be pandemonium. As for redeeming Krayt... that's a very long shot, and years in the future, at the earliest. Cade's just doesn't seem to be the redeeming type, not unless great-grandfather Luke really nags him about it.

Some of you have already posted the question I wanted to ask - wouldn't it be more likely that Celeste might redeem Cade?
My opinion is, given how Cade is now, and given Celeste's status as of the Dark Times period, I say there's a higher chance of Celeste redeeming Cade than Cade redeeming Celeste. But I don't believe either possibility will actually happen.

I agree with the consenus that Cade doesn't redeem Celeste. And I would prefer if Cade himself were not redeemed. I like my edgy, jerk of a bounty hunter Skywalker as is. Also, I would prefer if Celeste would die. And, so far in the story at least, does Celeste actually need reedeming? It seems like she's doing a pretty good job of being a hostage in her own body and not necessarily falling to the dark side "intentionally." Just thoughts

Celeste Morne is a tough call. I certainly don't believe she was evil pre talisman. Now with a Sith Lord in her head it's more of a Kyp/Exar Kun situation. I'm thinking all it would take to redeem her is a pry bar and another nearby force user.

At the moment, up to DT #11, yeah, I think a crowbar would solve the problem, by just forcing that Talisman off her, but... at the moment, Celeste is still mostly pure in mind, even after being locked up in that Oubilette for millenia. She's going to have to make some hard choices in the future though, and its hard to tell what those will do to her mind and soul. Dark Times Celeste is still mostly the same, but she's already fast sucuumbing to Karness, though she can't really be blamed for that. By the time she's in Cade's time, who knows how stable or unstable she'll be, unfortunately. I do hope to see her redeemed at the end of Vector though. I doubt she'll live, but I hope she's redeemed somehow.

I think a more pertinent question to ask is: will Celeste drag Cade down with her?
She hates the Sith (and I imagine millennia locked up with that charmer Karness hasn't helped matters).
Cade just announced he's off to kill Darth Krayt.
Sounds like a dark alliance could be formed there. And if Celeste turns out to be Calixte/Corde, as several have speculated, then perhaps this has been her plan for some time.

My guess is that Celeste dies at the end of Vector, but that she dies redeemed, if she needs to be redeemed in the first place. Somehow she will win the struggle with Karness Muur, probably with the help of Cade or some other Legacy character.

Why does everyone need redeeming? "Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate future" remember? Anakin was the exception, not the rule. And more to the point, most people are complete and utter bastards in real life who die thinking they were great. I don't see why everyone in SW should be different.

Here's how I think the whole showdown will go: Cade will face off against Morne (who's not his mom) Karness will want to 'posess' Krayt (cuz he's Sith) Cade will use his 'what can heal can also break' powers to destroy the Talisman thus releasing Karness and baddabing we have a new villian in town. One who 'might' be able to heal Krayt? Thus Cade's quest to end the life of Krayt takes a back seat to OMG really determined Sith guy.
Thus the final verse of the prophesy of the five is fulfilled: 'And between them all that has been built will fall' Cade's quest to be free of all responsibility will fall because of releasing Karness on a galaxy already reeling from the oppresive might of Darth Krayt. And to tie it in with KotOR at the end of the Vector arc Alek learns the importance of Sith artifacts. Thus placing him on the path to where we see him when we first met him in the game. How everything falls apart for the two other series IDK cuz they aren't done yet
