Minor Crimson Empire II thought - that huge Carrack-class cruiser

I love the Crimson Empire series, but it occurred to me that a Carrack-class cruiser really shouldn't dwarf a Marauder-class corvette/light cruiser as much as it does during the peace conference at the end - the cruiser is 300 meters long, and the corvette is 195 meters long - a Marauder shouldn't be that tiny.
But, are we seeing the first appearance of the Proficient-class cruiser?
Considering it ran on a Damorian powerplant, the firm which created the Carrack-class cruiser initially... I could see the Proficient being another of those mostly-pointless minor ships (such as the Adz-class) added to the bottom end of the Imperial Navy during Operation Shadow Hand - as Corellia was still loyal to the Empire during this point, I recall...?
It's 850 meters long - and artistic license can only go so far considering the Crimson Empire comics are very good continuity-wise otherwise. It may not be intentional, but a useful retcon?

Well, that Carrack (or the Marauder, whichover one the power that be decides for retconning) is probably just going to go the place of the miscellanious Star Destroyers and Cruisers around Byss as well as the Death Star sized Advanced Star Destroyer Imperious. Interepting things too literally can be dangerous sometimes.

OR...the Marauder Corvette in question could be an example of the tiny, shuttle sized Marauder Corvette as seen in the Darth Maul comic series, which was also probably created as a result of an artistic error.

The Marauder is Baron D'Asta's flagship, so I'm more inclined to think it's the normal-sized one rather than the Carrack.
For reference, the image in question:
Those things on the side are starfighters in the foreground.

Perhaps the ship is a Marauder shuttle that's usually docked on D'asta's full sized Marauder? A good ol' Sienar Fleet Systems Imperial style package deal? I'm just trying to keep things parsimonious here and not scale up/down any more ships then we have to. It's just the messiest, ugliest thing when that happens.
Oh, and not to mention that HUUUUUUGGGGGGGEEEEE window there on the front. That thing is already ridiculous looking and nonsensical on the Carrack, and now you want to haphazardly slap it onto an even bigger warship? I remember when I was first flipping through the old Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels way back when I was a young'un, at first I thought the Carrack was a shuttle sized vessel because of that big honkin moonroof. A big ol window right onto the command deck. Hmf. Bill Adama would be ashamed. You know, it took this thread to make me realize how much I hate that ship. I really do. Just look at it in that picture, sitting there in it's own filth. It's uninteresting looking and doesn't fit in with the Empire's whole look (even the Drednaught, that other WEG brickship, manages to do that. Gahhhh, triangles. All their capital ships in the movies were triangles. How %*@&in hard was it to stick with that?).

Can we say for certain that the marauder is the Baron's flagship?
The paint scheme aside (coloring error?) perhaps the Imperial ship is the marauder and the Carrack is the flagship?
I can't recall if the ship is shown elsewhere to confirm that.
In any event...I think just to keep things under control...from the proximity of the fighters (they don't appear to be drawn as to assume distance...they are flying escort)...I'd say the marauder is the vessel out of proportion.
But has been said, I could easily see a vessel like the marauder being provided in a slew of sizes and classes...given the relative agility of the design, I could see lighter variants being available...the design is quite adaptable...losing mostly cargo and fighter capacity.
Personally, I chalk it up to artistic rendering, as I do most comic interpretations...and leave it at that.
