A part of me is hoping that Luke and Ben actually get to meet the Zeison Sha during their search. It would be interesting to see how they react when they learn that, according to the Jedi Academy Training Manual, they were cheering for the Vong while hoping the Vong wouldn't come for them.

Cheering for the Vong? laugh

That sounds pretty cool actually... in a totally bizarre way.

Anyhow... I got Omen today... and wow is it thin. 236 pages; 250 with the next preview. Is it simply because the book is short, or is this due to the new all hardback approach, with the former paperback volumes being some kind of "slim hardbacks" compared to the main volumes 1, 5 and 9? confused

I guess this may have been discussed in the spoiler thread already... but I don't want to go there until I've actually read the book. tongue

i think ben, marrying someone normal is a real bad idea. superheros who have normal wives, always need to rescue them, and they can be force to do things if that person is kidnapped. it leaves you to weak. and why can't we have the little force sensitive girl in sacrifice that Ben rescued in this eries

To hook up with? I do believe she is still a little girl at this point.

As far as superheros having normal wives (and husbands, because, ya know, superheros can be women too) well, that's a good point. Exactly the one the OJO had, though they wouldn't refer to themselves as superheros. But the whole attachment "problem" is an outcropping of what you said. Even IF said spouse/lover/BFF is also superpowered, if they get in trouble, it's taken personally and off the hero goes to save/revenge/avenge them. That is a much bigger problem with regard to the Jedi whose Force-based soul is contingent on the actions they take in times of extreme crisis.

It's six of one half dozen of the other. A warrior can always be killed. AKA Mara. Anakin. Other Jedi. And Ben should marry someone normal and she can work at the temple while he goes on missions. It's like being a navy wife. Tionne has almost no force sensitivity, and she is perfectly safe as a teacher at the Academy. Even the greatest danger, she's been relatively safe.

I think Inferno would argue that point.

Yanno, I had to think about that for a second because I thought of the Jedi Exile. (Anyone on Wook knows about the Most Pointless Revert War Ever, the Jedi Exile's gender.)

It was more because the artists toned down the sexual dimorphism even more than simply casting Mark Hamill, to make Luke look more boyish.

Yeah I thought Nelani was talking about the Jedi Exile as well and got really confused.

It's easy to. We were talking about how Luke looked androgynous in the Marvels and the Jedi Exile's female but some fanboys people think she's male.

Heh, Luke's rambo-like appearance in the last Marvel issue was always one of the stranger things about that series, but you never get to see Luke looking like that so I guess it was kinda cool. But yeah, Ben is definitely adopting his father's haircut. Not surprising given how much time they probably spent together after LotF and how closely they've probably bonded during Luke's exile.

well I'm not sure how old Ben is in that picture but going by today's standards... (where I live at least) that's normal... all the local middle schools and highschools look like they were pulled out of the 60s lol

laugh I was just thinking that the Skywalker household probably has a Flowbee. I can't imagine Luke (or Ben, I guess) even shelling out a few creds at Galactic SuperCuts.
