the Clone Wars are becoming like WWII is in wideogames. Overused to the point that people begin to lose interest.

Add to that that this is THE worst cover I have ever seen. Well, I guess if I forget what a clone trooper looks like, I can always just look at the cover.

I see nothing wrong with a The Clone Wars at all. I'm actually really looking forward to the movie and series. I'm still ticked that Dark Times and Rebellion are on the outs because of the project but why is it that it's the most hard core fans that are dissing project as a whole?..maybe cause we're the only ones who know about The Clone Wars... confused

But this, this bothers me:

I know it's been mentioned alot but I had to put them side by side. This is just the worst lookin' thing. It sadly gives the impression that ALL Traviss can write about are clones and Mandos. talk_hand

That's a pretty exciting cover . . .

My God, the Sarcasm Meter is off the charts! tongue

Incidentially, my Aussie friend, I agree that the cover is not very imaginative. Hell, it would of been better if it showed Asoka or some other character from the movie.

You know, it dawned on me today that I have not been following this movie at all. I am not even vaguely familiar with its plot or characters. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Depends on if the plot ends up a pleasant surprise or a nasty one for you.

You're such a practical fellow, Nick. I can't honestly picture you watching this movie in the theater. I think you'll at least like parts of it. But you being one of the more sane, sensible folks on this board... well...

(Then again, I often subconsciously picture you as a Mon Cal admiral, so I guess I can't picture one of them in a movie theater, either...)

If you don't like it, you can go to the people in line for the next showing and say, "It's a crap!"

I, too, can't seem to figure out what the movie's plot is, either.

Isnt this book the novelization for the movie ? If so Id imagine that the synopsis in the first post would basically sum up the plot of the movie.

Now, novelisations of media products, case in point, Ruins of Dantooine, are deliberately, though not always the case, low budgeted, light read fairs, with game/movie-shot covers. So that's my impression of this, based on what I choose to call cover picture, not cover art. But Karen's doing this, and she's no light read fair, so with her diademing characterisation I'm hoping we'll get some real pov of people, notably Dooku's interior head, not that breezy buzz of Dark Rendezvous people found oh so poignant.
