Remember, I asked which of THESE characters you'd rather read about. I like Cade and the rest too, but I asked which of THESE characters would you rather see more of. I kind of want to know which of the survivors immediately after LOTF people would rather read about, that's why I didn't include anyone else.

i would like to see more of the under used characters. corran, kyp, tenal ka djo, jaden korr, and the horn kids just to name a few. of course some follow up with tahiri and ben. jaina stories would be cool. and does anyone know whatever happened to raynar thul?? so many characters to choose from!

I would say Ben. The writers can't do anything decent with Luke at this point obviously, so instead of just using unrealistic or uncharacteristic things to do with him they should just move him to the sidelines and let Ben or even Jaina be the focus of future stories.

They are the immediate future. Luke, Leia, Han are the past and need their time away from the limelight.

Allana - The character of Allana really makes me mad and I never want to read about her. "Oh let's just throw in this girl that's Jacen's daughter because we killed off two Solo boys, oh wait, now we have two Solo girls...YAY!"
Jaina - So she went from this little girl who gets mad at stupid things, not very powerful (supposedly)then kills a powerful Sith Lord when Luke couldn't even do it...doesn't make sense. The authors are trying to make her an amazing Jedi so everyone will like her and get her into the spotlight...I say it's too late for that.
Ben - Like the kid, great character, though a full-fleged Jedi Knight at 14 or 15...yeah...no wonder Luke's Jedi order fell...But I would really like to see a book focused on Ben and his father. That'd be sick.
Han Solo - How can you get tired of Han? When I first started reading the books, I skipped over his parts because I thought they were stupid and I thought his character sucked. Then I started getting hooked and I love reading his character.
Leia - Yeah she's alright
Luke - If authors keep handicapping him with emotional distress thinking about doing "immoral things" then just get rid of him, he's no use to anyone. I don't want to read about Luke being sad all day long. I want the Luke from TUF and Invicinble.

yes to all, what can I say I'm a Skywalker fan.
but its time to start moving Ben and Allana to the forefront, and move Luke Leia and Han to the background....they are actually rapidly approaching my grandparents ages now.... in fact I think Han IS my grandfather's age.... I don't want them to disappear by any stretch of the imagination, but I would like a more "3rd and 4th gen Skywalkers" approach at the limelight. We've still got things like Shadows of Mindor to give our 2nd gen characters.
I think it the next series, we should start seeing more 4th gen Skywalkers arriving soon in the form of Jaina's children..... (if Jagged's children are 4th gen Skywalkers then we should see two children of Jaina's arriving at some point... Roan and Mohrgan's fathers....)
I think we will be seeing Leia and Jaina be given Jedi Master status, Ben eventually reach full Jedi Knight status (I suspect the 14 year old rank will be retconned the same way the ones at the end of the YJK series were... hopefully it will). and Allana will grown into either Leia or Jaina's apprentice.
Oh on the note of calling Cade, Nat and presumably Marasiah and Roan the current Skywalkers. Remember that the Legacy series is technically "The Future of Star Wars" so therefore the present timeline is still the LOTF series time period, Legacy is the future.

I think a lot of people (including the characters) would count her as family purely by that connection. She's a part of the family tree, even if purely as the mother of Jacen's daughter...... to many people that makes her family.

well technically the IU reality is relative depending on the character what is present and what isn't.....
what you are talking about the "current timeline" is an out of universe concept.... so I would base that on the advertising tagline. (another OOU Concept)....
so I stick by my point.
