I always thought a comic exploring the earliest Jedi would be interesting as well, but weren't there no lightsabers or ships with hyperdrive during that time period? I mean it'd be weird seeing the Jedi without lightsabers and ships without hyperdrive.

Well, they had to have ships and probably hyperdrives as well (likely just really slow ones compared to later), as weren't the Jedi supposedly the merging of several different-yet-similar force traditions from several planets? Or was that hazy origin changed again? I know the origins of the Jedi are still murky, but I thought I remembered something mentioning that it kinda went that way.

I'll have to check the NEC again to make sure, but I am pretty sure that the galaxy lost the use of hyperspace for a while after the fall of the Rakata.

The Rakata fell in 25,200 BBY. Around 25,100 BBY Xim made use of a hyperdrive limited by a beacon system. In 25,000 BBY the classical hyperdrive was created.

So more or less two centuries.

Thanks. The Jedi were created in 25,000 BBY right? That means hyperdrive was around, but correct me if I'm wrong wasn't it not as efficent as the hyperdrives we are used to seeing in the GFFA?

2. Comics depicting the earliest Jedi. How did they operate, what were their outlooks on the galaxy..

3. Novels based on the KOTOR era.

Very true. It's what I've mentuioned before - there is thing very long, unexplored time period of the earliest days of the Republic. From it's foundation in about 25000 BBY til the Great Hyperspace War in 5000 BBY. That's a lot of time and a rather interesting period at that.
I would also love to see a novel (or comics) set in the period between Golden age of the Sith and Knights of the Old Republic comics. A lot of things happened then - innovation in the hyperspace travel, charting the galaxy, explorations and adventuring, innovations in the lightsaber technology...

Am I the only one that liked Cloak of Deception? The Seperatist Crisis was an intersting time, there were battles as well as a lot of politics.

I really enjoyed the book too and I would like to see a similar novel. Maybe something with the beginning of the Separatist movement right after TPM, or even better, the early days of the Rebellion - ROTS / days after ROTS.
Political schemes are always intriguing. wink

Not it wasn't. Not even after 20000 years, which is rather odd. In TOTJ: Golden age of the Sith and The Fall of the Sith Empire comics (about 5000 BBY), the hyperdrive is still not very stable, people are still risking their lives to punch some random coordinates, go into the unknown and maybe discover new planets and chart new hyperspace lanes. Traveling around the galaxy is still quite risky.
