What does he have to be redeemed from?
Juvenile Piracy?
Or being an adult deathstick-head?

Seriously, he's little more than a Force-imbued, two-bit smuggler and a dope-fiend.
He doesn't need redemption, the dude needs REHAB.
He's the Amy Winehouse of Legacy.

Cade loves women, deathsticks, and money. And occasionally uses the dark side as a tool.

He hasn't fallen yet. Cade is basically just an average guy born into the force-sensitive Skywalker legacy.

Yeah, I don't really see Cade in need of redemption. While Cade has numerous flaws (and listing all of them would take a while), all of those flaws are just mundane ones, that most normal pirates/smugglers/bounty hunters have, so basically Cade's like a normal amoral fringer (Han and Lando were just some of the more moral people, which is why they ended up heroes instead of staying smugglers). Cade's still not that likable, but he's not an evil villain at least. Arguably the worst thing he did was turn in Hosk, and Luke's ghost already personally guilt tripped Cade to go rescue Hosk, despite the odds... which didn't really work out, but at least Cade tried to make up for it to Hosk.

As for Krayt... or rather, his spirit, I don't really see Krayt being redeemed, as Krayt's fall was for a great cause, and so far, he hasn't really has had any reason to doubt that cause, or the way he went about it. He wanted to improve the galaxy by imposing order on it, and he got pretty far, helping the Empire to win the war, which meant it was the dominant power in the galaxy, and then taking over the Empire and by extension the galaxy. True, he was eventually backstabbed, but while that might shake his faith in his One Sith Order, it doesn't quite reflect on the rest of his goals. Unless he realizes he's been wrong for the last 100 years or so, but there should be at least some glimmers of doubt first.

Though didn't Revan redeem that one Sith spirit who was ridiculously old (yet another reason I dislike Revan "I can do anything!")? But that assumes that Krayt's spirit sticks around. Maybe in his tomb, but not all Sith stick around after death. I think Krayt had a holocron, though, but that's probably not enough.

Its not like every fallen Jedi needs to be redeemed, at least as long as Luke isn't involved, and unless the Sith Lord is particularly insane/stupid *coughCaeduscough*.

Step 1 is that he has to want it.

I don't think you can really compare Cade to Darth Vader, he just has various issues.

I think it's the whole point of Cade. He's not some selfless protector of the peace. He does what needs to be done, regardless of whether or not it could be considered the Jedi way of doing things. And yet, he never really falls to the Dark Side, even though, from the POV of the typical Jedi he would be on the path.

Well quite. If being a selfish idiot equals evil, well, a whole lot of people are going to need redemption.

Yeah, it'd really just be as simple as swearing off the Death Sticks and the Dark Side, and maybe having a little more consideration for other people. Nothing says a good guy always has to be a nice guy, so he can still be a bit of a jerk without being "bad."

It's not like the guy blew up Alderaan or something.

If Vader can somehow ludicrously be redeemed, Cade should have no problem.

Thats my point. He is who he is. A smuggler, an addict, a rude womanizer who lives by his own rules. Those less than desirable, self-serving qualities don't make him outright-evil, they just make him someone that Azlyn or Blue shouldn't write home to their mommies about...

Cade is the classic example of "wounded child turned emotionally stunted adult".
Redemption not needed, mucho-counseling required.
