Honestly I would prefer that. Their relationship and attitudes with each other seem more open and honest than Cade and Deliah and Jariah is much deeper than his friend.

My 2 creds -

The cover. Have I mentioned that the cover is beautiful? love

I think it was Jan who said that Cade would be getting back to his roots and I really liked how this kicked off – complete with the Mynock crew ‘entrance’ that harkens back to the first time we saw them in Broken, except Cade has a lightsaber this time. (Love Deliah’s new outfit!) He’s even using Jedi mind tricks to run scams like Deliah proposed back when they first found out he was a Jedi. I’d say Bad Cade, but not really. He’s a pirate stealing from gangsters stealing from a Sith-run Empire. I think it all evens out. tongue

I think the Syn/Blue conversation next was my favorite scene – especially the look they give Cade as he’s leaving and they try to figure out if he’s on drugs again. We find out that Deliah and Cade have not been ‘together’ lately, which makes perfect sense. I imagine he’s still a little messed up about Azlyn and Blue doesn’t do drama.

My jaw hit the floor with Syn’s “Hey, you ever get lonely” proposal and her response that she might take him up on that sometime. Dude. They have never hooked-up? Ever? I’d have bet money that, surely, they’d have kept each other company at least once during one of the many times that Cade has stepped out on them. As much as I have historically supported Cade/Blue, part of me thinks that Syn/Blue would be a good match and Syn certainly treats her better. If Cade doesn't figure out how to respect the woman he claims to love - to quote the Beatles - he's "gonna lose that girl."

This new female Moff Gromia looks VERY interesting. She appears to have a history with Nyna AND Morrigan. This should be vewy, vewy intewesting… thinking

Naxy, Double Agent. That’s great!!

Loved Deliah playing Den Mother and chastising the boys for spending all their money instead of buying engine parts. Especially her comment that Cade was going to be “one lonesome flyboy” for saying he wouldn’t need her around if he could ‘heal’ the ship. (Atta girl! grin )

And, OMG, Blue suffocating in the “missionary” outfit! laugh

The set-up at the end is awesome! So Gunn – who looks really pretty in this issue – is going to Tatooine to meet up with Morrigan and Moff Gromia is nervous because “THE Morrigan Corde” is coming to Tatooine... thinking cool

Again, GREAT issue!! grin Lots and lots of players being arranged on the chess board to set up the arc. It was also very character driven, which is my favorite type of story. Fights and ships and battles are necessary in SW, but I really love the issues that focus on interpersonal relationships. peace

The art was gorgeous throughout, but especially the scenes with Moff Gromia among the birds and foliage. Wow! applause

Just thought I'd ask...

Does anyone know what Moff Yage's first name is? Back in The Claws of the Dragon arc, I think maybe issue #15, Nyna addresses him as "Rulf" during their family get-together. But in #37, she mentions that irritating her ex-husband and Gunn's father "Ranulf" was only a side benefit. confused

And speaking of names, there's the new Moff, Gromia, whose first name is presumably Nieve. As in "naive"? Hmm. thinking Wonder if there's any significance to that?

Rulf is probably a shortened form of Ranulf.

A really good issue. Loved Deliah's new outfit, but will she ever get some new boots? wink I wonder what Nieve Gromia knows about Morrigan/Corde and what their relationship has been, and why she was kicked out of Coruscant, probably discovering her corruption. Cade does seem to have mellowed out a little bit. I wonder how Morrigan will treat Gunner, and if she goes to Korriban first. I think Veed is a goner, he will agree to something, probably to be the new Emperor, but enslaved to Wyyrlok. The Anzati and Blood Carver look like interesting new characters, as does this Black Sun Vigo (what is his species??). Nice to see Naxy back too, I was wondering what happened to him, if Cade and Jariah forgot about him in the cargo hold or not! I could definitely see the family resemblance between Gunner and Nyna/Morrigan in this issue.

I think Cade's developing a conscious. He's done the Jedi con 5 times and everytime the Imps are relieved and grateful for a Jedi to save them. Plus, there's everything he's already done. That's why he wasn't excited about the successful job and Syn and Blue were wondering if he's useing again. He's nearing a breaking point. A visitation from Luke might push him over the edge back into the light.

That's a really good interpretation of that scene. Maybe he does feel the slightest twinge of guilt over using the Force as a tool to get creds?

Hey, since the Legacy Era Campaign Guide indicates that the IK's use the Force as a tool, maybe Cade can go train with them, like I've been praying for for months. tongue

Agreed. A gorgeous shot of Cade with the twin suns in the background, and I can definitely see it being the cover of the trade. Hopefully a four-issue trade, else I'll feel very silly for having bought this issue. mischief I know that Issue #41 might be some sort of Tatooine epilogue, but here's to selfishly hoping that it's the start of a whole new arc. praying

I totally thought the exact same thing --- of that gorgeous shot of the three in Issue #2 of Broken, and how the same thing was kicking off Act II. All three characters looked more mature and hardened, yet still in the same mindset that they were before they got involved in wider galactic affairs. Really great stuff by Jan right there.

Agreed. A really good chess board setup, and with all of the double-crossing that's already going on, it'll be very, very interesting to see how it all pans out, especially when ghost-Luke shows up. peace A really good use of Naxy, really cool-looking Assassins (Anzati are fascinating. I'm not a vampire fanboy at all, but that was one hot vampire chick. I hope that they get to drink at least someone's soup), and a very intriguing new Moff. I also really like that this arc isn't limiting itself entirely to Tatooine --- hopefully we can be privy to the Wyyrlok-Veed meeting on Coruscant next issue. I also loved that we got to see quite a bit of Veed and Calixte, after seeing a mere two panels of them in their long-awaited return in Storms.

Yeah! Sounds good! I loved it too!

All in all, a really cool setting-up issue, that also promises some more depth from Cade in regards to his use of the Force. It's like ordering garlic bread, but instead of being covered with cheese, it's covered with just a pinch of the main course, which is something really fascinating, like elk meat! Man I can't wait to eat the elk meat when the waiter brings it. But the waiter won't be bringing it for another month. What a weird restaurant.

Amazing issue overall!

I loved the art, two thumbs up!

Very interesting set up for the next three issues to come. There was a lot of underused species being used this issue, so thumbs up on that as well. (Houk, Rybet, Blood Carver, Muun, Nautolan, Cathar and Azanti). It was good to see a new moff, a female one at that. I hated Nyna being the only known female moff. We got two in the mix now, and they dont seem to like each other.

Gunner= awesomeness!

I'm interested to see the meeting with Veed and Wyyrlok, morrigan and Gunner meeting each other, and to see what this new moff knows about morrigan.

Deliahs new clothes were very nice btw! I got sick of seeing her in the same outfit. She definately has some style, hopefully she can get her "new boots" afterall lol.

Isn't that usually spelled as "Niamh"? Actually means "bright" in Irish (according to wikipedia).

I say the dirt that Moff Gromia has on Corde is that she knows Morrigan is Cade's mom. If it were something so explosive as her knowing Corde is Calixte, she'd have exploited that info by now. Or died trying skull

No and no, but her name comes from a word and is descriptive of her cold personality.

Is it pronounced \niv\ – like “knife”? (Guess the board code won't let us use vowel symbols, but that "i" would sound like "eye.")

I haven't seen the issue yet, but thinking about issue 39's mention of a new Emperor, maybe Wyyrlok offers Veed the throne in exchange for silence and obedience?

Wyyrlok already has Veed's obedience. And Veed so far is going into the meeting with nothing on Krayt. It would be interesting if Veed is able to obtain some intelligence going in.
