Um… Mara’s taken. I don’t think Luke would be too happy if he found out that the mother of his child was having an affair with his own nephew. That sounds like something I say on a talk show once…

Vergere, it's in Onslaught. THey're talking, and Danni admits to having feelings for Jacen, but that "liquids under pressure never react as they would normally" or something like that. Basically she says, "Lets be friends" and leaves it at that.

I’ll have to reread that part too. I got the impression that Danni thought that Jacen was still too young for her. However, that was about a year or two ago, and he has matured some since then, so he might be ripe for the picking by now (if you’ll forgive the expression).
Edit: Dang… I’m just too slow with this stuff…

Seriously tho, Jacen would ruin any relationship by picking it to death. He'd probably go into the hills and meditate on it and come back to find the girl with someone else!

I loved the Young Jedi Knights book. I am a big fan in fact. I was a HUGE supporter of Jacen and Tenel Ka. Tenel Ka is my favorite YJK character, beautiful, tough and smart she was more than a match for young Jacen Solo who looked to be a young Luke Skywalker in the making.
But Jacen has come a long way since YJK. A long way down.
He quite literally isn't the same guy he was back then. He's seen so much. Done so little. Killed so many people. And then wimped out big time. And then returned when he had a personal stake in things.
I think that Jacen as much as he cares for Tenel Ka cant relate to her any more and I dont think she can really respect him either.
I could be wrong and I hope Jacen becomes the hero he has been too lazy to become.
Tenel Ka needs a Jedi Knight worthy of her.

I agree. I liked the Tenal Ka and Jacen pairing in YJK, but Tenal Ka deserves better than NJO wimpy Jacen.
