Star by Star Discussion Thread Proposals {NO SPOILERS IN HERE, PLEASE!}

There seems to be some sort of consensus that the current, dominant SbS discussion thread, a 850+ - post behemoth, is not the most user-friendly way of discussing the book.
That said, I propose three remedies:
1) Keep things as they are, posting SbS discussion (containing spoilers, of course), in the current thread.
2) Allow Matthew Trias (it's only fair, he started the current thread) time to start a new thread designated for such discussion so there is less load time and such.
3) Let anyone post anything whilly-nilly, starting a thread-war of epic proportions.
As you can see, only #1 and #2 are actual choices, so let's hear it!
I vote for #2!

I havn't read sbs yet, but I imagine a 606 pg book has many plot threads that need their respecitve threads.

Yeah Chiss, been busy.
Anything but (3) is going to be ridiculously hard to enforce. You know as soon as the book hits, no one's going to pay attention to any rules anyway and people will be posting willy-nilly.
And yes, it's a freaking huge book, with a number of major issues. It's reasonable to have the main thread deal with general discussion and allow any number of willy-nilly narrowly-focused supplemental threads.

Either way, I won't end up posting until I read the book. I'll go with 3, though I plan on having a good read with the Emperor's current SbS spoiler thread when I finish the book.

Haha....id say 2, but its a lost cause. You are oging to end up with a situation like 3 anyway once most of the people who post here get the book...so lets just go for it!! There are already around 80 threads saying...i got SbS early! HAHA to all of you who didnt!
