Mitth_Fisto posted: I wasn't able to back to quote at the moment but someone mentioned them, either in the pre-movie release or show, going on a mission to rescue Jabba's son?! Doesn't that contradict the information from the Han Solo Trilogy when Jabba kills his 'Aunt' and her offspring and there conversations about Jabba someday having one of his own, where he contemplates if he ever will risk turning into his Aunt's apparent senility with an offspring?
There'll no doubt be a retcon for minor discrepancies like that. Perhaps it's something along the lines of it not really being his son, just a Hutt he considers as such, or the events surrounding this "son" are what lead Jabba to establish his anti-offspring opinion later in his life, for example.

Seems to confirm that [minor spoiler] Boba Fett will be in the Clone Wars series.
Now that's interesting. Isn't he a bit, you know, young to be showing up there?
In the young reader Boba Fett series, he's already training himself to follow in his father's footsteps as a bounty hunter by this point in the timeline (and, IIRC, is already working for Jabba by this point in time). Additionally, Mandalorians go through rites of adulthood in combat by age 13 or 14 usually, and are trained in weaponry even younger, so it's not that out of place given Jango's culture.
Hmmm, I wonder if how far the movie/series will track him as a character... It would be pretty cool to see Grievous and him fighting on Xagobah. For those who haven't read the Boba Fett series, Boba is captured and goes to Raxus Prime. He later escapes from Dooku, and winds up on the planet Xagobah a couple books later. Boba makes his way into the Separatist base, where he finds Wat Tambor, protected by Grievous and some MagnaGuards. Fett uses some holoshroud device to make himself appear as Durge, but Grievous soon sees who he really is and attacks. Tambor, convinced that Fett is dead, urges Grievous outside where he is needed for battle with the Republic. Grievous reluctantly agrees, though he doubts that Boba is really dead. Boba then meets Anakin Skywalker later in the next book, who helps repair Slave I so he can leave the planet. I sort of doubt that this story would make it into the new series, but Boba crossing Grievous and Anakin on the same planet would give us a good insight into his character and life after the Battle of Geonosis, even if Lucas chooses to not follow him much further in the series. And, Lucas wouldn't have to veer off the main storyline to show him, but could just have him sort of pop up during the battle of Xagobah while we're still following either Anakin's or Grievous' story during the wars... Just a thought. Or, since Lucas said that there will be separate story arcs, maybe there will be one about Boba during the wars. Still, I don't really think he's too essential to the overall series, though it would be nice just to see him at least pop up.

From watching that trailer, and the scene where Yoda says "tragic are these losses."
Maybe we'll find out why Padme thought Anakin was dead at the beginning of ROTS. The whispers of him being killed along the outer rims.

double_blade that was superb! Just the small fact of seeing footage of the new animated series set to the classic Star Wars theme made me grin from ear to ear.

Hey double_blade, that was a great trailer!
Here is some news from Jedi Con from StarWars-Union.de on The Clone Wars and some other things. It is roughly translated but you get the idea.
Very soon will be a new trailer to The Clone Wars movie. This will then not only online but also on the big screen run.
Besides Asajj Ventress will be in The Clone Wars are other EU figures.
The big sale of TCW-Merchandises will begin in July.
From Dark Horse is definitely a comic TCW. Sansweet knew nothing about accompanying phenomena of Del Rey.
Either Battlefront III or Knights of the Old Republic III will be in the next 6 months of an announcement.
The new Encyclopedia of Sans Sweet will be two and 500 pages per volume. To the targeted completion date of the books in May on call, Sansweet still has two more authors to help fetched. The encyclopedia will include information on the TCW cinema film and the series, as well as The Force Unleashed.
He is planning another book with his 1000 favorite collectables and one on the history of Darth Vader.

Well, I always assumed the main trailer would play with Indiana Jones in May, but maybe Lucas doesn't want to steal his own thunder.

I hadn't even thought about seeing the trailer in the cinema before. What with it coming out on the big screen, that's probably exactly what will happen.
oh goody.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I could see it getting released with Indy IV or maybe even Iron Man, but that's a long shot. Hey, if it's debuting in theaters in August, won't be too long before we so some mass media advertisement (other than Star Wars-related websites).
