Does anyone know who's doing the voice of Asajj Ventress...because she sounds a lot like Kreia in the trailer. Sorry if this matter has been brought up before...I just don't have time to read over thirty pages.

She does sound alot like Kreia, but that voice isn't too hard to do. She sounds older and darker then she did in CWI, but I personally liked the voice actress for her in that one. No one really has a definite list yet as to whos doing voice work [other than SLJ!!!] but it shouldn't be that long till we get one.

I personally like the new visual style, it allows ILM to exaggerate animations but not too much like in the clone wars cartoon. This means alot of intense saber fights that can't be done with real actors.

Yep, thats what Im hoping for too. I've always loved lightsabers and lightsaber duels, and although the original CW had the Anakin vs Ventress and the Greivous vs Posse which were pretty intense, it's probably gonna be nothing compared to 3DCW.

It's weird. I keep trying to get myself excited for this series but after finding out that the Clone Wars is a fake war, I just can't get excited. When I see these big CW battles I'm just like 'Meh...so what?'. We know the clones are programmed and that the way they act around the Jedi and all the characters is fake. So what is the point in getting to know these clones when what we see is not their TRUE personality?
Personally as cool as the movie and series looks, it just doesn't seem interesting anymore because the whole war is fake and the entire republic army is faking everyone out.

Well u knew Anakin was turning to the darkside and would become Vader, most of the jedi would die and Palpatine was really Sidious, and yet u watched the prequels anyways    i say just give the CW a chance, u could be surprised

Those were fine because well it's interesting too see. The twist of the CW being fake would've been fine too if...IF Lucasarts wasn't going to make a big deal about the war after revealing the plot twist. But still they are going on and on that this is biggest, greatest thing ever when in reality it's just not a real war. I mean it's cool to see the battles and all but really...there is no point in watching. The whole war doesn't have a goal except to fake everyone out and truthfully this show doesn't really have a goal except to show a bunch of programmed men go after programmed robots. I guess that's the point but I as a viewer like to watch shows that have a direction and goal. The CW series just seems like a sad attempt to make this fake war into something spectacular. So...we have to sit through a 100 episodes of fakeness. We have to get to know the fake personalities of a few clonetroopers. Yeah, that's real interesting.

You're seeing things too simple. The Clone Troopers didn't know all along that the war was fake. In fact I'm sure they never knew. The way they acted was real. It's only in the end that Palpatine tells them the Jedi might be traitors. They just obeyed orders and thought they were doing the right thing, because they answered to the highest authority, the chancellor. None of them knew that Dooku was in league with Palpatine, and that the war was staged. Sidious made sure of that by killing the separatist leaders.
What I'm always wondering about is this: why does Jango Fett side with Dooku and the separatists on Geonosis? Obiwan knew that Fett was the one who was cloned for the army, so surely this should raise suspicion. I also think it's curious how misinformed Fett was about the whole plot. He just blurted out the name of the Sith Lord who recruited him. Perhaps it's because the Jedi found out about Kamino unexpectedly. Which raises another question: if Obiwan hadn't found Kamino, how then would they have come up with the clone army for the republic?
(I realize this is off-topic, but maybe someone can clarify this for me real quick?)

It's a fake war to 2 people: Sidious and Dooku.
To everyone else, it's as real as breathing. Coruscant was attacked at the start of ROTS and Palpatine was kidnapped! Thousands of systems joined the Confederacy, probably because they believed that Dooku was a charismatic dictator that would solve the problems they had with the Republic.
There are individual and group acts of heroism and sacrifice, like in any war.

The goal of the war was not just to fake everyone out. It was to deplete the resources of the Republic, to have the Jedi become soldiers, to cloud the Force with Darkness so that the Jedi were weak and misguided, to have them trust their troopers,to disperse (and kill in battle) as many Jedi as possible so that, when Order 66 began, almost all the Jedi died. It worked practically to perfection.

In a situation like this, the drama has to be so compelling for the characters that we forget the actual reality that this is fake war fought with essentially non-people and instead get caught up in the struggles of the characters. The larger war is meaningless, but the battles themselves are real, with potentially-real consequences (ie people can die, or Palpatine's plans can be thwarted by the efforts of the characters and thus things can take on unexpected consequences).
Its a bad situation for the filmmakers because I don't think the series will be written well enough to draw us in that way. I mean, if Band of Brothers took place in an orchestrated war it wouldn't make any difference because its not about the war its about the people and the battles and their hardships--not that the Clone Wars series should be like Band of Brothers, just a comparison in that it is compelling drama.
Its hard to make pre-judgements of this sorts because it really is dependent on seeing the entire film, its difficult to judge based off snipets, though what we have does not instill me with confidence in the drama.

I know what you're saying. In fact, I thought the main argument against making ANY kind of prequels is because the suspense just isn't there.

Agreed, we all knew that Anakin was going to become Darth Vader. I don't think that knowing that the whole war is fake will hinder the movie or series at all. It will be interesting to see how things evolve and pan out.
