It's funny. I was debating whether I wanted to read the spoilers and when I finally caved and clicked it, it's gone.

I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Its just a cartoon for eight year olds. Like Droids, only not quite as mature, as far as the summary indicates. I'm not sure how hard you can judge something designed to entertain kiddies on saturday morning before they move on to the next cartoon in their line-up--just don't be fooled by anyone, be it fans or Lucasfilm, trying to pass this off as anything more than that. Because its not.

Thanks guys, that's not the reaction I was looking for.

Edit: Also, is this based off Karen Traviss' "novelization", or is this off the kiddie novel?

Karen's novel is based off of the movie.

Still wondering if anyone else is seeing the discrepancy in the animation style/quality in the Clones video.

It goes from just stunning, almost movie-quality animation, with amazing action scenes, to dialogue scenes that look like something out of the original KOTOR for X-Box.

Again, zombie or whomever stated it looks amazing for television, only okay for movies, is probably right.

Still, I'm blown away at least by the action sequences.

Nice little foreshadowing when Rex or whomever enters Jabba's palace and says "this place gives me the creeps". wink

I do like the irony in Anakin having to save someone in Jabba's family and years later his son kills him. Luke always finishes the job. After all in RotJ he ends up killing Anakin. Irony everywhere.

Hmm...that's weird that the link I made is not working. Perhaps a mod can fix it...But, maybe that is a sign Sublime. It's keeping you from viewing it. tongue

Garth, I didn't really notice at first. But now after watching again, I did notice a little bit. I've said this before though, I am not really in it for the animation style; I am in it for the Star Wars. Everything else we have seen has looked great, which is an added bonus.

But, perhaps you and zombie are right. It may be that people are comparing it to the style of Wall-E which may be a bit of a stretch.

EUCantina reported on the cover of the Clone Wars novel. Looks...generic.

(Image BBCode is not working...)

I caved, I read the spoilers. But we already knew a good half of that stuff anyway.

punky muffin, though?really?

The novel cover looks very generic, they could've made it look alot cooler. Like imagine if that was the movie poster.

Uh, Leia kills Jabba, not Luke, and Luke does not technically kill Anakin either....

Leia choked him and Luke blew up the barge. Either way, it is still ironic, having Anakins children be the cause of Jabba's death. wink

The cover is ok to me.

But i wonder i we would see any covers with Ahsoka as a non CG character. It could be cool to see here in comparison to Shaak Ti.

I agree. I like the comparsion with Shaak Ti. It's funny how popular Shaak Ti's become when she was featured so little in the films. It wasn't until the Clone Wars series that she grew in popularity. She was originally going to be found kneeling on Grievous' ship when Anakin and Obi-Wan encounter her for the rescue in RotS. They witness her execution by lightsaber. That was all filmed but scrapped for all the elevator stuff.

Not to mention her second death scene filmed for the temple slaughter which was then cut again itself, and now her re-emergence in The Force Unleashed.

I think Lucas just likes Twi'leks, and Togrutas are just Twi'leks with twice as many headtails wink
