I couldn't help thinking Ian (McDiarmid) was reffering to Boba Fett.
He must have been... "fan-favorite" --"that wasn't in it too much" (paraphrasing). That can only mean Boba Fett (keep in mind, Ian McDiarmid probably doesn't frequent Star Wars message boards, so he has no idea there's a HUGE Ben Quadrinaros fan-base out there ).
And the word is it's going to focus on bounty hunters. Then again, I'm not a hundred percent sure that Ian KNOWS (if it'll be Boba or not). Perhaps it's just HIS hunch.
If it is, I hope they re-cast it. I don't usually bash child-actors, but Daniel Logan's performance (in AOTC) was... GROTESQUE! I know he's a teenager know, but I'd be willing to bet he still sucks. On that note, I think that Temura Morrison is also terrible... just terrible.
Having Ian in there for one or two episodes would definitely be something I couldn't afford to miss, but all George Lucas has to do to garner insane ratings is call it "Star Wars".
Honestly, I think the series has the potential to be better than the prequels (just look at the quality of shows out there like 24, Lost, The Sopranos), but it is still very screw-up-able.

Even if the character of Obi-Wan doesn't appear in the series, I wonder if they would offer the role of a completely different character to one or more of the actors? Put some makeup and a fancy looking costume on, and have them try to change the sound of one's voice a bit, and you will never know who could be the actor/actress. The guy that played Nute Gunrey in the prequels also played that coneheaded Jedi, two completely different people, so why couldn't McGregor or McDiarmid potentially be used in another role as a completely different character?

DookuIsTyranus said: As for Ewan appearing in the series, remember that Obi-Wan is in exile on Tatooine for the next twenty years. If they did have Ewan in it, it would have to be about something that is happening on Tatooine during his exile. Otherwise, I don't see Ewan appearing on this show either.
I agree with TheWookiee -- Just because Obi-Wan and Yoda were 'exiled' does not mean they cannot 'vacation' off of Tatooine and Dagobah "from time to time."
And the EU is so rich, so full of colorful characters that GL has his pick of which ones to assemble around Bobba Fett. Ian's comment about the Emperor having his evil representatives in ANH is interesting if not very telling. Makes me wonder which dark characters aside from Tarkin and the other nasty bounty hunters we will meet?
Still, a season ending two-parter with Yoda and Obi-Wan communicating with each other, or perhaps with QJG, or perhaps even meeting would be very well received and appreciated. And I have absolutely no problems seeing Hayden's hideous face once or twice during the small screen adaptation. If GL can alter the duel in ANH (as some suggested he might over in the ROTS forum), he can do the same in TESB with Vader's meditation chamber scene when the Trilogy Six-pack is finally released. After all, three years ago, who among us would have thought Hayden would be placed in the final scene of ROTJ and Ian in TESB? With the Great Flanneled One, anything is possible.

And that's precisely what should worry all of us!!!!!
Edit: removed some weird characters -- musta fat fingered . . . .

I would like an episode or two to focus on the exile of Obi-Wan and Yoda. I don't think it would be too much of an issue to get Frank Oz for Yoda [unless he is not interested] and I would like to see Ewan in a few episodes.

That_Wascally_Droid posted: Ian is a class act all his own.
Temeura Morrison also expressed interest (so there'd be no shortage of stormies if needed! Weee!)
Mayhew and Daniels genuinely love the roles they have so they'd be open.
Smits is used to TV and I believe has also expressed interest, as did O' Rielly. So we could have some solid Rebellion scenes in there.
Rebellion episodes could make use of Smits, O' Rielly, Daniels, Morrison, and Mc Diarmid all of who have expressed interest. (It'd also give good ol' Mr. Bulloch a chance to play Captain Colton again who has also expressed interest!)
Daniel Logan has expressed interest and is somewhere around twenty now I believe. So Fett's a strong factor.
Ewan and Hayden have also given Lucas the go-ahead to call them.
So, basically, they could make Episode III.V if they really wanted to.
I think it's just plain awesome that so many people are open to be called upon!
That's just an unbelievable list of characters we might see.

Having actors like that would truly make the TV Show amazing. There could be so many other storylines that they could explore if they have the principal actors.

But the key actor to get for occasional appearances would be James Earl Jones. It is nice though that they could use these characters if they need to during the TV Series.

All right, I know where McDiarmid said, he would be interested in appearing once in a while, but I have never heard of anything regarding Morrison, Ewan and Hayden.
Please, where did you hear/read this? A link would be perfect...
Thanks!
