Many thanks to revant for the info !
It has been reported by McCallum I believe that it is going down the path of grittier edgier kinda stuff of the Bounty Hunters. So much promise there if they capture the "cool-ness" of why we fell in love with Boba in the first place
Perhaps
Season One : STAR WARS : Bounty Hunters
Season Two : STAR WARS: Remnants of the Jedi Order
Poor titles really now i think of it but still you get my drift.

It's funny to hear some of these people question whether or not the TV shows will be successful. Remember we are talking about fans that line up months in advance to see a movie...if these shows aren't a success...RUN FOR YOUR LIVES...the world is ending.

I believe that it will do well. I think there is the opportunity to spread the Star Wars franchise to good effect into the t.v. stream. Chance to bring in newcomers to the mythos and have a whole new generation of fans to check out the show.
The only problem is the scheduling. Going up against the likes of Nip/Tuck, 24, Lost, Desperate Housewives etc. in its first season would split the audience and not fully (IMO) give the show a decent chance in its first run. When do you show it ? Prime time ? Would it survive ? Late night given that its gritty ? Thoughts ?
I'm pleased that all the scripts are being written first so that the whole season has a broad palette and is aiming towards something by the season finale. I would personally do the same as well.

It depends on which channel and time the TV Series is on. The TV Series will most likely start at 8 P.M. or 9 P.M. which would make it a prime time show. I'm thinking it is either going to be on FOX or FX since Lucasfilms has ties with 20th Century FOX. The Sci-Fi shows on the Sci-Fi Channel like Battlestar Galatica do pretty well on Friday nights since they are good shows and I don't think they have much competition on Fridays. Friday nights could be a good possibility for the Star Wars Live Action TV Series. If it was put on FOX they could also put it on Mondays at 8 P.M. right before 24 comes on. It could also come on at 9 P.M. tuesday right after American Idol. I think either way if the TV Series is put on FOX, FX, or any other channel there are a lot of possibilities for which day it could come on at and that it will do fine in the ratings. If the Star Wars Live Action TV Series is good or just decent for that matter I think it will survive.

I'm just afraid that, even it it is a quality show, that it will be cancelled for the silly reasons of the networks. I mean, there have been BRILLIANT shows like Firefly that had a large audience, yet was cancelled because of the idiots at the networks.

Remember this is Star Wars not a new franchise like Firefly was.

Yes but Star Wars is a huge franchise so I'm pretty sure if the TV Series is at least decent or okay and gets pretty good ratings that it will stay on the air.

Yeah, I know. But these TV execs. They're just... crazy. They'll get hard ons for horrible shows like all this reality show crap, yet will toss aside quality shows THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY ENJOY. I know it's Star Wars and all, and that Lucas has a lot of control over things, but it really wouldn't surprise me a bit if these TV networks would cancel it. That's just how they are.
I mean, Lucas made the Young Indy series in the early 90's, and people loved it. It was based on a popular series that everyone knew Lucas was behind. Yet... it was cancelled. Luckily, Lucas got to film all of it before it was cancelled. But it proved that the studios don't care about the very shows they air.

Well if it is cancelled by a major TV network like FOX which I don't think it will be, I'm pretty sure another major TV network or a cable network like the Sci-Fi channel would pick it up.
