We might very well be seeing Quinlan Vos in the TV show, as Republic #83 shows his survival of Order 66- an ending that George Lucas, according to Dark Horse Comics Editor Randy Stradley, was directly responsible for.
I think he should be hunted by Boba Fett. It would really show us why Boba Fett was known as the best bounty hunter of his time.

I can tell you a major turn-off for me would be if they showed a living Mace Windu. I would never watch again.

Vader in the TV show would be awesome. He is the one responsible for hunting and killing the Jedi. I can see him being obsessed with finding OB1 and in the process he looks for other Jedi that may know where OB1 is.
Putting him in is easy. He's a guy in a costume and James Earl Jones could just do his voice. On occasion Hayden or Ewan could do cameos.
Having Fett and the other bounty hunters in competition in hunting Jedi would be cool.
Showing how the rebellion started would be of interest.
I want to see Chewie and a young Han Solo. Maybe even scenes of a young Luke playing with his friends on Tatooine or a young Princess Leia learning politics from Jimmy Smits.
I'd even have re-programmed battle droids working for the rebellion. There eventual destruction and the destruction of droid factories would explain why droids seem old, decreped, or limited in their functions in the OT.
How about this? A young Han and Lando team-up. Cool beans!
Final Note: I find it interesting how in only 20 yrs the ideals of the Jedi have all been forgotten except the cliche use of "May the Force be with you."
The Soviet Union did not effectively destroy all religion in Russia, but they did cripple it, but that was over a period of more than 20 yrs.

i hope its more a case of jedi of the week.remember there were alot of them!also it should have a fairly dark theme overall,it wouldnt make sense if not.why not have each episode revolve around the hunt for ajedi?sometimes they escape(great cliffhangers)could almost be compared to highlander the series.would be a great oppurtunity for guest star jedis too!

It might be most expedient for Lucas (and Co.) to avoid characters from the movies, at least in the early-going. Imagine the headaches attempting to manage continuity! And having us fanboys dissect each episode across the internet? A chilling prospect, to say the least.
I'm of the opinion that creating a new handful of characters would not only be easiest, but also most rewarding; it alleviates the pressures of preconception.

I remember that they also planned to do an Order 66 scene of Quinlan, and have Plo Koon get 66ed while flying around a ringworld, but both of those were canned before filming began.
The Plo Kloon scene was in ROTS. Quin got cut because at the last minute Kucas decided that he would survive Order 66. There are rumors from connected sources that this is because GL intends to mke him one of the main characters in the live action series.

I no that it is an unpopular idea, but nowhere do we actually see Mace Windu die. Luke Skywalker was a much less powerful Jedi than Mace and yet survived the same amount of force lightning Mace took, having his arm chopped off like Mace, and falling from a great height like Mace. Maybe we could have an episode where Mace returns from the dead and finally gets offed by Darth Vader, sacrificing himself to give another Jedi or two a chance to escape Vader's clutches.

I feel that Lucas should try to get the show on HBO or Showtime so that we could have true hour long episodes that have that cinimatic feel to them. Any commercial interuptions would just take away from time they could have for the show. I just don't know how much one of those networks would want the show. My guess would be that it'll land on Fox again due to the ties with LFL. That way the most viewers can watch the show.
I hope that it does end up on Fox or one of the other big networks, I would hate to have to subscribe to a premium movie channel just to watch Star Wars.

Luke got his hand cut off. Luke got fried by Palpatine. Luke took a big fall(literally) like Mace.
What you failed, rather hilariously, to realize, is that Luke didn't get his hand cut off and fried at the same time, which is what happened to Mace. Also, while Luke got his hand cut off like Mace, he fell several minutes afterwards, and did it on purpose. Mace didn't have a chance.
Common sense. Use it.

I was really hoping, when I first heard about the show, that it would revolve aroud the jedi for the first episodes,(the last days of the order), maybe scenes with Koon, Unduli. Then have an Order 66 sequance where we see a couple of the survivors fleeing. We would then pick up with non jedi and eventually pick up the run aways and aid them.
I really, Really hope there are some flash backs of jedi, and I must have an episode focused on the ruined Jedi Temple,(my favorite thing in Star Wars).

I agree, It would be cool if there would be a transition between the clone wars and the jedi purge. It would be great if we would see this purge just as 9-11.
If they could just give the viewer the sens of disarray(sorry:P). And that the jedi order is really shattered and is trying to survive the first post order 66 days.
