I don't mind a series following Luke, but the problem is that it's pretty clear in ANH that he's never left Tatooine, which means it will be almost 100% based on Tatooine - Which basically means it will start to get dull pretty quickly. Also, we know theres going to be Bounty Hunters in it, and how in the world would Bounty Hunters fit into Luke's story? I personally think that quote is wrong, and I'll be amazed if Luke even features in one episode.

As I said in that other thread, just because the story is "about Luke" doesn't mean it's actually about Luke. Perhaps they won't go that way, but if they handled it in a way similar to this I could see it working rather well. Here's what I wrote in the other thread: Just imagine--someone off-planet with shady connection (a crimelord? a military commander in the Imperial Fleet with aspirations of currying favor and/or sway over Vader? a Jedi jaded by 'The Wars' , Order 66, the slaughter of the Jedi Order and the rise of the Empire discovers Luke's existance and is bent on hunting him down, and Obi-Wan must save child-aged Luke from this twisted Jedi's plan? the possibilities are nearly endless!) learns that a Luke Skywalker lives on a little farm on Tattooine! They see an opportunity, so they send a bounty hunter to retrieve their prize. Meanwhile, (intercut, but not necissarily the main focus of the show(a sub-plot)) we get to see the adventures of a young Luke growing up on the Lars Homestead just to remind us of what is really at stake with him being hunted--not only his life(and innocence), but also the future events of the OT! Man! This could really be sweet!! It could give us so much more of an appreciation for Luke's character and his importance! And just imagine if Ewan made a guest-appearence as Obi-Wan in a season finale to fend off a raiding band of bounty hunters at, or near, the Lars Homestead! Or fending off a rogue Imperial band of soldiers sent in secret by the ambitious Moff! Or being forced to battle a rogue Jedi bent on killing, or stealing, Luke!! Seriously--if this is true the possibilities are awesome and endless!!
