Get the comics instead. Much better.

I'm asking myself the same question, actually. I'm thinking of buying season 1, and even though I'm a fan of season 2 is it really worth it? Like 1/4 of the material compared to first season, and it's $5 more. What are some pro aspects of season 2? Convince me to buy it...

Ready...

GO!

It's not a quarter of the material. Volume 1 is 20 chapters of 3 minutes. Volume 2 is 5 chapters of 12 minutes.

They're both the same length.

Yea but I mean like 20 chapters compared to 5? The length isnt so much of a big deal to me, it just bothers me to think Im buying one movie with 20 different short episodes on it, which covers more than season 2 for about $20, as to where if I pick up season two its 5 chapters for $25.

Is there any bonus material on the discs?

The last half of Episode II is as good a Star Wars as you will see.

Amen to that. I love the Clone Wars cartoons - it's a whole 'nother way to experience the SW world - that is, with lots of action and a comic-book feel. But, in my book, there's nothing like fleshed out characters, thoughtful storytelling and breathtaking digital cinematography - and, as painful as some of Ep. I was, if I was on a desert island with one DVD, I'd pick that over the Clone Wars DVDs. That being said, I'm glad I don't have to make that awful choice - because can you imagine only having Ep. I?! And I'd hate to miss watching the Clone Wars DVDs because they are worthwhile! For the record, I love every minute of Ep. II, even the "bad" dialogue! Thank the Force we live in a world where we can appreciate all the SW media, each for what it does best!

I collect all my favourite shows and movies on DVD. LOTR, SW, BTAS, Serenity, Firefly, Justice League, Samurai Jack, Batman Begins and Clone Wars. It is my favourite cartoon of all time, definitley worth owning on DVD. There aren't many special features but they are pretty good.

I would wait until they released an edited version that merges that two halves. Since Genndy and co. won't be making anymore, they should just combine them to make it a two-hour movie.

Clone Wars is good if you appreciate cartoon/anime and appreciate story telling in a film. There are alot of scenes with no dialogue at all. But considering it was suposed to be a kids show it was quite g ood. I'm gonna buy it eventually.

... or at least cram them onto 1 DVD - I'm sure they'd fit since each season is only about an hour.

I have the two sandwiched between episodes 2 and 3 in my dvd library.

Hey... I wonder if the person who started this thread has bought them yet!?
