I know many people weren't a big fan of the Ewok films or the Holiday Special, but I think people are beyond critiquing what comes out.
They weren't that complicated and had a child-like escape to them. I would love to see more projects like that. They aren't real "movies" like GL means when he says it.
I would love to see simple SW films like that. Straight to video stuff and TV movies.

Good on you for liking that stuff.
I remember seeing Carvan of Courage when I was very young (havent seen it since). What actually happened in that movie? Did it add any depth to RotJ or the Star Wars universe in general or was it just a straight stand alone spin off?
Personally i prefer the more dark hard core sort of stuff. I would love to know more about the villains in the Star Wars universe eg who was Palpatine and where did he come from, or the history of the Sith. I get frustrated that they leave all that juicy stuff to the books, doesnt GL know that most people have not got time to read them?? A half hour show isnt too absorbing...

But they are coming out with more of that stuff. The clone wars catoonse ries and the live action will follow the same manner as those tv projects. Light, fluffy, with action, and GL will not be heavily involved as his 6 movie series. Unless, GL comes out and says....This is what really hapeened before Episode 3, and this is what occurred in the galaxy after Episode 3 before Episode 4 and this is tied into my movies.

But GL is involed, to an extent, and I'm sure these TV series coming out will get the same credit as the Clone Wars micro-series...

Caravan of Courage I thought was quite boring. Battle For Endor, however i thought was really pretty good.

i remember watching those movies every day. i used to love them (tho the spider used to scare the crap out of me) i tried watching them a little while ago with my girlfriend but we couldnt get past the beginning. watching them now i just feel sorry for those poor midgets. i wish ewoks spoke basic.
