I saw 'The Official Star Wars Appreciation Society' enact the entire 6 films on sunday 10th sepetmber on sky movies. I thought it was funny as hell. Who else saw it and what did you think?

I thought it got off to a good start with TPM, but other than that it was a bit naff to be honest. Well, I wasn't exactly expecting something particularly fantastic, but it was disappointing.
The AOTC song was pretty good aswell actually.

i absolutely hated that rubbish. It wasnt funny to me and it didnt actually tell any of the story. Not what i expected at all.
(although it must be said that the full version is surely better. I was talking about the 30 mins sky movies showed.)

watching prison break the other night they said the elec chair makes you incontinent. So does that mean that mace windu pooped himself right before he went out the window? Or did Luke make a stain on
the death star? maybe DV died of embarasment?

The 30 mins SKY showed was the full thing. If you didn't like it then that's totally up to you, but to dislike it because it didn't cover the storyline of the movies shows that you totally miss the point of the production.
It was terribly unfunny to someone who hadn't seen the movies, but the point of this short was to provide a collection of in jokes that only fans of the movies would get. It honestly wasn't an attempt to actually explain the entire 6 movies in this short time frame.
Sorry that you were disappointed, but I think you've missed the point.

No i didn't miss the point at all. I was completely aware that it was intended to be a comedic performance full of what you call "injokes." (One of which suggested that women do not understand star wars. Which is niether funny nor correct)
In my opinion it should have at least shown more of the story and been much longer. It's just my opinion, and if you liked it, then great for you mate. I personally did not find it in the least bit funny, but that does not mean i didnt understand it.

If you expected it to actually tell the story, then you clearly aren't aware of the work of The Reduced Shakespeare Company, hence you have completely missed the point of the production.
In my opinion it should have at least shown more of the story and been much longer.
Then you should just watch the movies back to back.
The purpose of the work of The Reduced Shakespeare Company isn't to actually convey the content of the material they are expressing, but more to amuse those who are fully versed in the subject matter. If you've seen their original work you'd appreciate it makes little sense, and isn't really that funny if you haven't studied Shakespeare.

listen, just accept i don't like it. Do not attempt to make me look like a fool. You can have your intepretation and I can have mine. I merely said that I would have liked it to have shown more of the story. That is what i would have preferred, that does not mean that I do not understand their actual intentions.

you are perfectly entitled to your opinion on it's quality, and your opinion on how it could be improved, but your earlier comment that you expected it to show more of the story does suggest a slight lack of background knowledge on your part (but that isn't really a failing on your part).
