	take this with a grain of salt - a guy i was chatting with was pretty honest about this information. a guy i went to art school with now works as a concept artist for lucasfilm projects (lucky and fortunate ********) an said kinda casually that we was working on the new star wars TV series. His brief was to concentrate on the lead character or the centerpoint (as he put it) of the live action TV series . He said the character was to be the "jedi prime" or the lead warrior jedi that used to take the jedi/republic forces into battle during the clone wars (not as mystical as Anakin but a superior warrior). He apparaently isnt a master but the prime warrior knight. What he said sounded good - that the character is the 1st character seen on the series and 1st apperas on a bridge in the middle of the "empires new home world" fighting off stormtroopers from either side (this moment is set about 3 hours after anakin storms the temple) and the characters story starts from there and he is the heart of the serie s- he was just drawing concepts for these scenes. He was told to base the physical characteristics of the character on Viggo Mortensen and said that the name he has heard that lucas wants for this role is Josh Holloway (Sawyer from lost) - an very Aragorn type from LOTR. In my opinion Halloway would make an amazing jedi lead character. I said if it comes together it would be amazing (not that he would care). Again, i'm just writing down what was said to me from a guy I know works there. I cant prove it as i didnt record the conversation with him. I suppose he didnt assume id post the conversion on the net. Grain of salt as i said - but im being honest as possible from a true source and hope someome appreciates the info.

	Although I highly doubt any of this is true, it does sound interesting, and yeah, Holloway would make a nice Jedi... a rogue one, at least. But, if the main character in the series was such a major player in the Clone Wars, we should know of him, after all. I doubt that Dass Jennir would be that a major character, and I don't know of any other human Jedi with an important role in the Clone Wars, who isn't too major to appear in the series... 	As i said before im just repeating what the guy told me - i have zero reason to make it up. i dont know about extended universe or anything and he didnt seem to know about that either - he was just interpreting a brief he was given. he said it was a new character for the series and the lead character. the only other info he gave (that i can remember) wast that his dress was not like other jedi and more like a samurai with alot of body moulded armour with an silver eagle looking crest across his chest plate. i think he said it was battle armour or something - what he was wearing as the clones turned on him on. somehow i dont think lucas really cares whether the character is extended universe cannon or not. the part i liked is when he told me they want josh holloway for the part - i mean the guy looks like how i imagined jedi would have looked - a warrior not a monk.

	Sorry if I seem cynical, but on the run up to Episode III we had a ton of these stories where people would come on claiming that they were friends of Lucasfilm/ILM employees and had some inside info to share. Invariably they were always hoax's. Is there anyway you can verify this with the forum moderators? It sounds like an interesting idea for sure, and one that I always thought the TV series would be about; I.E. a Jedi surviving the Clone Wars/Jedi Purge and hiding out in an increasingly desperate and hostile galaxy, so if its true, its the kind of thing I've always been expecting the TV series would be about. -----signature----- I felt a great disturbance in the force. As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror. Then were suddenly silenced.

	Personally I don't even like the way the character sounds. I don't buy a crap of this, but if that's what they're going for with the lead character that's too bad. I'd rather see something along the concepts as a not-very-great Jedi left during the Purge, and you follow his crusade. 	G-Fett, I cant confirm or verify as It was just a conversation I had with an old friend from art school (how could i confirm a chat). As i said before im sure he didnt expect me to go straight to a Star Wars forum and post what we were chatting about - which is exactly what i did. We are both in the arts and he just mentioned what he was working on. thats about it really - he said what he said and i believed him. For him to lie would be it would be like lucas telling spielberg that "im doing the final 3 stars wars film after ROTJ" when we wasnt really at all.

Well, we had over a year of Clone Wars stories before Grievous made his debut, and he was later retconned to have participated in many previous battles, including Geonosis, so it's not entirely out of the question. Also, with the new Clone Wars series coming up, a character like this can still be added to the Clone Wars prior to his live-action appearance. -----signature----- "A true Knight, Qui-Gon is. 	Sure, it's possible... but I wouldn't endorse to see something like that. But that he could be added in CW3D is a good point. And unfortunately, such new "out-of-continuity" (or at least in the beginning) characters like Grievous are rather inevitable. Still, I'd rather this series wasn't be mainly about a surviving Jedi's story. There's bound to be at least one "grizzled, rugged survivor of Order 66" in there somewhere, but here's hoping Lucas is a fan of Firefly, and we get more Han- or Mal-class rogues in funky, patched-up freighters. 	It is probably stating the obvious but all the fans really want to see in a TV series is Vader and Bounty Hunters hunting down remaining Jedi. Its a sure fire money spinner for Lucasfilm and I think it would guarentee at least another series or two on the back of it. My personal additions to this would be some early rebel alliance vs Empire battles, some Yoda, Emporer and Luke cameos... All told its cheap on acting costs because you can get any mug to don the Vader/ Fett gear, maybe pay McDiarmid a few bob to play the Emporer now and then. So the only cost would be the main Jedi (hopefully NOT Furlong)...

Have every episode ending with a duel where vader always wins and kills the opposing jedi. Yea it can be entertaining at times, but kind of repetitive. 	I wish I new how to copy an paste what i want to reply to. Homer voice : eh what are ya gonna do? Anyway iceqfreak in relation to your previous comments. No I dont think it should end with a duel at the end of each episode, of course not, that's silly. I just think that the Vader Jedi thing would be the least risk commercially and possibly popular with MOST of the fans.... I would be interested to hear how you think the show should be structured? I think Yoda can still have some fun on Dagobah, eg that weird cave. There could be a thread about the Empire/ Bounty Hunters trying to find Yoda (they obviously know he is still alive and therefore a threat right?) I dont know about Luke, maybe tooling about at Toshi Station could be interesting... on second thought maybe it would'nt...
