I think this would be a great idea. Get the OT actors to play the parts and then rotoscope it to make them look younger! Also bring in some new people for Xizor,Dash Rendar,Guri,etc.

I think I'd rather see it done in CGI like the game's cutscenes, BUT I'd love to see Shadows anyway and I'd probably be happy however they chose to do it. Although the chances get slimmer with every passing year
Michael Ironside should do Xizor, although they might have to CGI him a bit taller And come to think of it, they could rotoscope him a bit younger as well; so you may well have an idea there

I'm imagining Harrison Ford guffawing at the thought.
I'm imagining Mark Hamill giddy for getting work.

Why would Harrison Ford guffaw at the thought? He wouldn't be in it. His character was frozen in carbonite the whole time!

FYI, Hammil has gotten steady voiceover work for over 15 years now. You may know him as the joker in every DC cartoon up until The Batman premiered just last year.

i think it'd be amazing to see Shadows of the Empire, but i think i'll be dead before the heir of Lucas decides to exploit that story.
...now, what does "rotoscope" mean?... i really dont know Oo
Michael Ironside would make a very good Xizor and...

I love Jessica Alba... but still, i think that's the WORST cast i've ever seen... Heath Ledger sux, and therefore, a nice character like Dash would be ruined.

...well, i criticise ¿?!"¿ i dont know how to write that ¬¬, sorry; but i criticised darkcide's "cast" and then thought it'd be right to post my idea, so others can give their opinion also.
Dash Rendar = 80's Don Johnson
Guri = Kristanna Loken

Rotoscoping is like computer animation on top of live action,as seen in "A Scanner Darkly".

thanx there darkcide... then, i think SofE should be all cgi, rotoscoping looks bad sometimes. I dont know how the exact term, but take Harrison, Mark, and so on, and kind of scan them in 3d, do u know what i mean?... i've seen that procedure done in many movies, it's even done when making action figures... that would be better than retoscoping i think... Lucas has the technology to make a great cgi movie.

It could even be a miniseries trilogy with elements from the book,the comic and the game.

Real rotoscoping has nothing to do with computers. Check out Ralph Bakshi's 19778 Lord of the Rings. That's rotoscoping.

Dash Rendar could be none other than Dennis Quaid.
