Jamie, I think he was 'trying' to insult me.
I was being sarcastic when saying I was dying to see Scrooge as a child in 1970.
I was too young to even know it existed at that time.
I think he was trying to elude to something like he was not surprise I would not
want to see it b/c I am just to ignorant to know better.
Try as I might I just can't recall any other kindergartners wanting to go see Scrooge
either. What a bunch of ignorant, uncultured children we were

I think that Blackout said it prefectly in the econd post in this thread. It's one thing if they can, and another if they should. I personally think it's FAR too much of a bother too even consider for too many reasons.
If they are going to bother putting Kenobi in it, than it should be Ewan or no one.

Besides, they probably don't even need an actor to play Obi-Wan.
The man was plastered most of the time he was on Tatooine.

I'd actually like to see Ewan playing an older Obi-Wan, even if it were only a cameo. According to various materials concerning the making of RotS, he seemed to enjoy (and was very good at) reciting classic Obi-Wan lines on set - and of course, he's got the mannerisms down pat.
But as for bringing Alec back and "doing a Marlon"? Nopes. Never. It just wouldn't be right.

Hmm, yeah. 1 scene with zero lines that some people weren't even sure was Anakin and lasts a couple of seconds is definitely a step towards replacing a main through all three films. Yeah, definitely.
I won't bother rolling my eyes; it's already been done.

I believe an occassional appearance by Ewan in the live action series is something we will see. Besides, how can he say no with Ian McDiarmid saying he'd return. And just think of the buildup and the ratings they will get.

Alec Guiness is a little 'life-challenged' to be in it though... I think.

Alec Guinness was a good actor, not only as Obi Wan but I loved him in bridge on the river Kwai. Yea alot of people will always consider him Obi Wan but thats because he nailed the role.
Out of respect for Sir Alec Guinness I'd say don't mess with old footage, he has no voice in this now but to alter a mans image without his permission is disrespectful. Plus no matter how good Lucasfilm and THX have become, I don't believe they could perfectly pull off doing it.
