You say that the new shows are years away, so I say, why not release the complete Droids and Ewoks series? They would make some good announcements.

oh, I see what you mean. They'd only be a news release if it was actually going to happen. I don't think it's fair to complain that the news updates are poor if there is little to update on.
Just wait - in a year or so from now we'll have buckets of spoilers etc etc

Why do you think it's not going to happen? I suspect that, in order to maximize profits, the complete Droids and Ewoks animated series will be released on DVD right around the time the 3D Clone Wars debuts on TV. But I still wish they'd come out sooner. I guess it'll be kind of the situation with the DVD release of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, which Rick McCallum said would be tied into the release of Indiana Jones 4.

What updates are we capable of getting? Updates on the new CGI Animated Series, thats what. It's coming next year, unless Lucas changes his mind yet again. There are plenty of things they could talk about or show us about the Show, since they have been working on it FOREVER!!!

But the major difference is that it's all computer generated. There are no actors walking around on sets, or behind the scenes footage to tease us with.
I agree we could get to see some storyboards, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

You know Captain, your right. Every show gets good treatments from there companies. Star Wars being the most succesful franchise in the world treats theres like ****. They just released the Star Trek animated shows and we still don't have the complete Ewok & Droid shows. I'm tellig you, those lucasfilm people and company are almost done with me giving them money to buy there products. Thats why many of my friends don't buy anymore star wars crap, because they know how to shovel in front of your face 10 different versions of the same crap, but can't release the original stuff. This reminds me of the athelete that you admire, he is a super star, you follow there entire caraeer, and when you meet them, they are the biggest sour pus. Well, that GL and his stuff. Thank God I'm getting rid of my stuff and cashing in on them.

I agree with you all! Lucasfilm always has had the best marketing, but what is this? I have been a Star Wars fan up until ROTS came out. Every day I checked this forum. But when ROTS finally was there, there was nothing interesting anymore on the forums here. In the beginning I still came here every day, but after a month of doing so I stopped. Now I check theforce.net about twice in a month, but nothing new!! I don't call myself a StarWarsFan anymore. Of course I still love the movies (although I didn't like ROTS), but I don't like them more than I like the Matrix or the LOTR.
I think if Lucasfilm still released foto's/video's/stories every week, this wouldn't be the situation. Ahh, maybe this all has purpose of some kind....

Media of what exactly? They don't have anything to release just yet. We have had some nice conceptual artwork relating to future computer games, and in fairness the games market is one that they are still actively developing in.
However, I do urge you to contact SW.com, or LFL directly about your interest in continued release of existing information. There's little point in grumbling about it here because we have no control over what gets released.
