Yeah it's sorta sad really. I do remember a time not so long ago when the boards were rampant awith clone theories, Grando Calrissian and "Is Boba in Episode III?" threads. guys we have to be patient...We are so deprived of pics, spoilers ect. that we can make something (ie Lucas' comments) out of nothing.

I prefer the Clone Wars cartoon over Episodes I-III. I thought it was fantastic!

I hope the new Clone Wars cartoon is nothing like the last one. It was just one mindless action scene after another. It's cool at times, but theres just not too much too it.

QFT.
These were probably the one part of SW I watched solely out of simple curiousity, and then never thought about again. I've played the Battlefront Bespin City level more times than I've watched clone wars.

That was the point of the Clone Wars cartoon - to develop on the actual war that wasn't shown in II or III - it IS just a series of battles, any of the real story points outside of said battles were taken care of in EU books

Pretty dumb point, imo. If you're gonna be creating something, you might as well invest some actual effort into it.

And at least try and sync it up with other material. The 3 years pre-RotS was supposed to be one big multimedia project focused on the Clone Wars; it worked well in every area but the cartoons. Here's hoping Lucas pays more attention to the overall story rather than an excuse to show a load of action scenes.

I can't understand why GL decided to put this new series just 6 months prior to Episode 3. Why not cover the whole clone wars? Okay, the GT cartoons were short and full of action, but lets face it, between them and the comic books, they added excitment to the clone wars. The movie interpretations were very poor, the novels were very bad, heck Shatteroint which ended up being a good novel caused the cancellation of a book a created one that was poor. Yet some of you thought that particular book was good. Yoda actor . The only book that was very good was LOE.

I've generally gotten the impression that the last year or so of the war was arguably the most important-obviously, in terms of Anakin's Knighthood, and in the evolution of the Republic into the Empire, and the Outer Rim Sieges and so on.

Agreed. Here's hoping that they focus on putting something in becuase it advances the story and not because how cool it is. Also, I wouldn't mind if the stories focused on other aspects of the war, which is why I always liked the Med Star series.

Lucas is a huge fan of Genndy T. and "Samurai Jack"...I've never heard or read him saying anything but good things about the Clone Wars series...

Dude, it was snippets of long drawn out battles. Mindless action scenes in a mindless war... how surprising!
Seriously, what did you expect from a 3 minute at a time serial?

That's fine for the three minute cartoon, but I was talking about why the half hour long show should not be like that.
