I hope he's mostly cameo, and he should be too for most of the story, given that he's still in his teens at most by the end of ROTS.
Perhaps the show will be about Boba Fetts frustrations as a teenager? You know, like Beverly Hills 90210 In Space?
Well, he did have a kid when he was 16...

G-FETT posted: Fett did appear on a LFL "teaser" poster. So, thats a pretty big hint.
Hint, perhaps. Nothing even close to "all but confirmed". Besides, we all know that Fett is a SW icon, even to casual fans. Of course an image of someone like him would be used for promotion; a single teaser poster image is all there is that can be interpreted to connect Fett with the show.
G-FETT posted: Yeah, Fett will be in.
Again, it's premature to assume that. In the words of Randy Stradley, "Assumes facts not in evidence!" That being said, i think there is a good chance Fett will be in the series. I'm just trying to stem the inevitable "my brothers sisters friend knows this guy at LFL, and Fett is definitely in it" rumors, which eventually lead to people getting angry at LFL for no good reason if Fett ends up not being show after all.
G-FETT posted: The only question will be who plays him, and that depends on what age he is. Personally I'd like Daniel Logan play him.
Agreed. Though i saw a picture of him recently (from C4, maybe?), and as he's aged he looks less and less like Temura (and seems to be getting pretty tall too). Not that that's a deal breaker or anything, but if Fett is in the series and we see him sans-helmet...well, i'll fire up the retcon machine.
What if the pic we saw was another Mandalorian that has armor similar to Boba....Or is where he gets his armor from. Hate to say it but Boba would be only 13-14 if the series took place right after EP 3 .

Maybe George Lucas will capitalize on the longtime success of a EU character that keeps showing up in one way or another in books and comics like Grand Admiral Thrawn only before he becomes a GA and is still a Star Destroyer captain or high ranking officer dealing with outlaws, it would be nice to see him chasing after some Jedi that avoided Order 66 and hunting them down with Vader backing him up and telling Palpatine how good the guy is which sets him up for a promotion that leads to him becoming a GA later on, on another note when is the Live Action Show going to start anyway? its been talked about for years now but nobody knows its starting date or month or year yet it seems.

as far as the series release date goes, last I heard it was fall 2009. But that seems awful close now, I am thinking it might be 2010...
Anyway, I too am hoping it does deal at least some bit with the purge survivors. Just because that is a really good story arc. "The Force Unleashed" seems to already be dealing with that. So if that is the case, it would be great to see Quinlan Vos in there. Technically, he has already been legitimized (for all you EU haters out there) by GL, as some have already mentioned.
My money is on Vos. Anyone else besides the occasional cameo of some more main characters, I think will either be new characters written expressly for the series or minor characters we have already mentioned (and by minor, I actually mean minor i.e. Baal Organa and I dunno... Dex).

Skys the limit really, but I beleive good old George said the Skywalker family will not appear.
If Palpatine appears it would be in only one or two episodes, but I'm sure he'll be mentioned several times.
Boba Fett is for certain in my mind. Mara Jade will not be there, George has never shown a desire to include characters from novels in his films so why the TV show. There is a better chance to have Quinlan Vos as we had Aayla, but I still think the chances of seeing Vos are very slim.
I'm most interested in the new characters that will be created. I would like to see a whole new cast of characters and keep the established characters to cameo's. In a galaxy with a million- billion beings any number of awesome new characters could be created.

Boba Fett is pretty much confirmed at this point. Vos is also a good possibility. I wouldn't count on too many of the movie character showing up though. It appears they want to wipe the slate clean with the live action series and create a whole new batch of characters.

IMO most of the prominent characters from I-II-III will not be seen so my predictions...
DARTH VADER : POSSIBLE everything has been said & shown about him so i don't think he will be in, except as a guest star in the last episode-cliffhanger
GRAND MOFF TARKIN : YES because Lucas show him at the end of Ep III and he is related to the Deathstar project
JAR JAR BINKS : NO unless they want the season 1 to be a critical failure...
PRINCESS LEIA : NO too young, pointless
LUKE SKYWALKER : NO too young, pointless
YODA : NO in exil
BOBA FETT : YES producer Rick McCallum is advertising on him
BAIL ORGANA : YES he is the father figure of the Rebellion and Jimmy Smits is primarily a TV actor so there's agood chance to see him
HAN SOLO : NO too young, pointless
CHEWBACCA : POSSIBLE he could be anywhere in the galaxy and play any role because we don't really know what happened to him after Ep III, along with his colleague Tarrful
MACE WINDU : NO he is dead DEAD
R2D2/C3PO : YES
JEDI : YES it's all about them
INQUISITORS : YES Padmé spoke about inquisition in the last one and if we have Jedi, they must have somebody to fight

Interesting analysis Blackfryar
I think you are making an assumption that the series will feature Jedi/Rebellion figures. Theres really been no confirmation of this. It could be something completely differant altogether.

RE: Live Action Series: Character Predictions

Here's my predictions (both realistic and my own hopes).
Jedi:
Quinlan Vos: Great choice for a lead Jedi hero.
Tholme: Bad-ass, realistic, more easily done than most old Jedi.
Khaleen: Nice female lead, plus the pink hair could visually kick arse!
Villie: Looks cool, typical muscle, comic relief
Tra Saa(?): Fits with the rest.
Other new Jedi
Rebels:
Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Garm Bel Iblis: Under-developed Alliance leaders.
Wedge Antlles (or whoever the ome in Ep. 3 was): Owner of the droids.
C-3PO/R2D2: Comic relief, nice connection to episodes 4-6.
Kyle Katarn: Awesome choice for the lead Rebel hero.
Jan Ors: Foil for Kyle.
Villains:
Tarkin: IMO, Palpatine and Vader would seem pretty ridiculous on TV, and will probably only be referred to. Tarkin would be great as the face of the Empire.
Original Imperial officers: just for a few original villains.
Inquisitors and Dark Jedi: just more generic villains.
Boba Fett: Already teased, and would make a good sympathetic villain.
Bossk: I would love to see something where Fett allies himself with the Bounty Hunter's Guild, becomes Cradossk's favorite, and Bossk and Fett star a massive rivalry.
Dengar, IG88, Zukuss/4LOM: Minor rivals/allies of Bossk and Fett.
Greedo: Decent comic relief, connection to Jabba.
For the Big Three and other main movie characters, maybe just use references. Like have an Imperial mention an officer being discharged for saving a Wookie, or have Leia as a little girl with her father.

First post ever...finally broke down and signed up here. W()()t.
Anyway, Vos for sure. If for no other reason, to explain why he doesn't get involved later on down the line, and what happens to Korto, since he is born shortly after Luke and Leia. I wonder if down the line they will tie in the scene from GHOST where he runs into a Han Solo.
It would also make sense to fit in A'Sharad Hett in at some point.
If we're gonna see an Obi-Wan cameo, it should come along with some force ghostage of Qui-Gon.
I also hope Shaak Ti makes it through the video game alive. She'd be good to see in there, at least at the beginning.
