Darth_Shpydar posted: Yeah, most (not all) of the original actors were involved in at least some of the episodes. Also, if memory serves, Walter Koenig (Chekhov) and another crew member (i think either Nichelle "Uhura" Nichols or James "Scotty" Doohan) did many of the alien species' voices as well.
It was a surprisingly good cartoon adaptation of the original series; i beleive there were even a few episodes that were sort of sequels to the original episodes (tribbles, Harry Mudd, etc).
I guess if you love Star Trek than it'd be a treasure trove of goodness for you. Unlike that really dumb Planet of the Apes cartoon!

Droids = good
Ewoks = bad
And that's all there is to say about that.

I used to watch these shows when they were out circa 1985/1986 and really liked them both - I thought both shows were above average, and the animation company used (Nelvana?) was exceptional for the time.
I would pay good $ for a complete DVD set of the Ewoks and Droids cartoon series, if it ever comes out. I would especially like to see the later episodes of the "Ewoks", since I missed those on TV.
What some people may not realize is that when this show came out in 1985, it was during the "dark times"; there was not a lot of new material out there for SW fans at this time - ROTJ had come out two years earlier, The Marvel comic was winding down and the later issues weren't that great (it ended in '86), and there were very few books out (Heir To the Empire was years from being published).
So, it was cool to see SW being continued in some form, especially one with such high quality as these cartoons.

One thing that was bad idea for the Ewok series was that little blond girl
wearing a headband. Didn't Jennifer Beal in Flashdance wear one of those headbands?
Lame.
That was an 80's thing.
Can someone go in a digitally remove that headband that little girl was wearing for all future dvd releases? While there at it, go ahead and digitally remove the one Jennifer Beals wore in Flashdance also. Please. And her 'fro wasn't happening either.
If Jennifer Beal had been in the Ewok series, it would've made more sense, but still be lame, for someone in a Ewok movie to be wearing a headband.

I loved the Ewoks cartoon when I was a kid, in fact it was my first exposure to the Star Wars universe even though I didn't know it was related to SWs.
