I do not think Maul should return from the dead. I have no problems with a Darth Maul flashback (I welcome it!!!) or Ray Park playing a different character entirely.

Agreed. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Ray Park back in another role.

Darth Maul would only "appear" in passing reference. There might be a holographic image of him fighting Qui-gon and Obi-wan or something of that nature but there really is no point to bringing him back. He played an extremely finite role in the overall scheme of the saga. There are other more significant characters that should be referenced in the television show than Darth Maul.

Exactly. My point was on the ridiculousness that, with stupid writers, ANYONE could back from the dead. Boba Fett was ate, swallowed, with NOT full body armor, it was cloth with some armor plating, and he still came back witha stupid excuse. And the acids would have killed him.
Darth Maul was cut in half, but only fell into darkness. Tell me EU idiots wouldn't eat it up and defend his living post-TPM. Anything can happen, let's just hope Maul doesn't come back. Ever.
I agree. Please let Maul STAY dead!!!!! His character was a lackey filler in TPM and nothing more.

Instead of Maul himself, what about new charaters of his species? There are others like him in the SW universe, so maybe a new character that looks similair to Maul could appear. If ony for a few episodes..

As much as I'd love to see the two duke it out, and it's always been something I'd wanna see, I agree the concept is stupid. Thats like Ben comming back to life to duel Vader in ESB or ROTJ..
Which almost actually happened-made it as far as ROTJ draft 4. :P

What might be very intesting is if Emperor Palpatine is shown in the TV Show basically training Darth Vader and he uses an example of something that Darth Maul had done for him in the past in order to acheive his goals for him and when hes telling Darth Vader the story it shows a flashback of Darth Maul on a mission for Darth Sidious and hes basically killing a Jedi or some people for Sidious and it shows how he does it in detail and why he does it or it shows one of his missions to destabilize the Galactic Republic which will cause probelms in the long run and bring about the revenge of the Sith in the future, basically it could show Ray Park dressed as Darth Maul and he performs executions and does exactly what hes told and then reports to Sidious, or it can show Sidious/Palpatine training Darth Maul in lightsaber combat and the dark side arts and after its all over it shows Palpatine and Vader again and he explains how Maul was very powerfull until Obi-Wan killed him on Naboo.
Basically just an episode where Palpatine tells Vader about one of his previous apprentices and why he is better than them, Lee is too old to reprise his role but Park could appear for an episode or two set in flashbacks that expand on his character, its not that far out there and would work and give the fans something they want to see without bringing Maul back again but back in a random non recuring way.

how can you not wish for a vader/maul fight? that comic was brilliant, esp how vader defeated maul. and if they did fight for real in the canon universe... that is exactly how it would play out.
lucas messed it up when he killed maul. one of only many.
