So what clone war villains are still arouynd to return in live action form for the series?
I would love to see a group of exiled jedi fighting asaaj ventress in a season finale. (if she`s still alive that is)
On that point do you think lucas will bring characters like mara jade or lumiya in? Will we get to see why the emperor bothers to have those imperial guards around? Will we see the emperor`s hand baddies (they are the dark warriors of his aren`t they?)?

I think it'll be mostly new villains. Though of course, even if we don't see him, The Emperor's presence will be looming over everyone - Just as in ANH.

Well, aside from Asajj, San Hill's still alive. Although the chances of him being in the live action show are well... pretty much non-existent. Not to mention I doubt he'll get anything more than a cameo in the upcoming Clone Wars shows anyway.
Depa Billaba also turned bad in the wars, and as of yet her fate is unknown. But again, I highly doubt she'll be in the show. I also doubt Lucas will delve too much into the EU to use characters like Mara and Lumiya (not to mention they're probably too young anyway). Aurra Sing may be our best bet in terms of semi-well known villains, since she's Boba Fett's nemisis and all, but even she might be too much of a long shot.
Like G-Fett, I'm placing my bets on totally new villains for this series. Maybe a few OT characters will make cameos here and there, but Lucas seems to want to start from a blank slate for this one.

You never know... I mean, why else would she escape the clone war novels if not to return? I mean, it would've easily filled in a nice little touch to Anakins turn to completely merk her just before ROTS...

Would be nice if we got Tarkin as the villian that would represent the Empire in the show, would also give his character more presence in ANH.

I'd like to see Assajj Ventress too, because she was an intriguing character, but I don't think we will see her because:
1) She fell off a very steep cliff at the end of the clone wars 2nd series and is supposedly dead
2) She's specifically tied to the "Skywalker" storyline and was created to played a part in Anakin's turn to the Dark Side.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing Aurra Sing. She's not really tied to any one storyline yet. Her role was really a cameo. So it's definitely possible.

Are you talking about the animated series? That took place like a 2 to 3 months after AOTC, Asajj was still well alive afterward, her inclusion in multiple Republic arcs, then she was in Obsession, which, IIRC, is where it looked as though she died. But, as confirmed, she did survive.

I agree, Tarkin would be cool. And of course, Vader and Palps. But Jedi villains other than Vader will be rare, I think.
Jedi in general, I think will be a rarity. I would not be at all surprised if we don't even see an ignited lightsaber so until the season finale. As lame as that is.
And then it would probably be some new character. I still think Ventress would be cool too. She was so nuts in the clone wars graphic novels.

We'll probably see a host of Imperial Officers and Agents, as well as some Bounty Hunters, some Warlords and Crime Lords and possibly cameos by Vader, Tarkin and Sidious.

I like the idea of Palpatine not showing up, but looming over everything, although IIRC, Ian said he would be willing to show up in an episode or two. Same with a few other movie actors. Vader IMO should also be a limited presence. We should be seeing folks like Tarkin, or even better, Isard 
I'd also love to see Boba, but I'd actually rather see him be the star than a villain. Logan seems to be really into the Boba thing, and I'm pretty sure he has also said he would be willing to be in the show.
