After seeing Spider-Man 3 I have to say that it was nowhere near as silly as Phantom Menace and parts of Clones. The love story throughout the Spider-Man trilogy never reached the low of "I don't like sand" pickup line. The closest thing was probably Peter's speech about her getting married on a hilltop or whatever in part 2. Peter Parker acted like a goofball in Spider-Man 3, but he didn't reach Jar Jar levels of idiocy. IMO he came off of the way some people think they are hot you-know-what when they are drunk, in this case he was under the influence of the symbiote.
So parts of Spider-Man 3 are silly, but Lucas should be one to talk because the silly parts of Spiderman 3 fit as opposed to Jar Jar and things in the prequels that are just distracting.

Lucas sounds a little bitter and unwillingly tries to play the statement off as a light-hearted joke as not to look like a maniac. His points have been dropping drastically over the years. The last saving grace to all his destruction was the Original trilogy and he managed to tarnish that too. Now here we are again, with more CLONE WARS lol. This will be interesting, if not, you know; silly.

We're not going to start taking this thread down the route of attacking other peoples posts and opinions, are we? This has been a really good natured thread so far, with a great divergence of opinion - exactly what these forums should be about. Lets not see things go down-hill here.
