I agree.
When i first saw the poster I was pretty skeptical. Unenthused. Even a bit disappointed.
Now I can truly say I am excited for this!
The animation style is really cool! And the voices are great! I am actually glad they don't use Temura's voice for the clones because he's so monotone! The clone-voices are much cooler than in the movie.
My 10 year-old son isn't too stoked about the human faces - especially Padme's and Anakin's. I like them. Maybe he'll get used to them when the series comes out.

I love that Asajj is gonna feature - the force choking of the clone was brilliant. Nice to see Grievous too, hopefully he will be a bit more intimidating than his cowardly character in ROTS.
I really cant wait for this to start. I was a bit sceptical about it but if the trailer is anything to go by it is gonna kick ass. Bring on 2008.

Thankyou for the kind welcome. Looking at this thread there have been quite a few that have piped up this weekend as well as myself. I have always used Rebelscum forums for my collecting and Galactic Senate for general Star Wars duscussions. However, I've been getting frustrated with the lack of posters on Galactic Senate recently, so have decided to find a new home. It seems pretty cool here and plenty f buzz about the clone wars series which is really exciting me. Despite my fears of a gradual decline in Star Wars after ROTS its actually a really good time to be a Star Wars fan. Cant wait for this and the live action series to air.

I think we've already seen quite a few "Trailer Newbies" joining up this weekend. I've noticed quite a few new faces around. I hope everyone is feeling welcome? And a reminder to all new users to check out the sticky threads at the top of the forum list.
And I agree with smudger9, its certainly a very exciting time to be a Star Wars fan with the new projects that are lined up and I'm personally really excited to be moderating SSSW. We have a number of interesting developments lines up for this area. I'm not at liberty to say whats going to happen, but I can tell you the administration are really taking TV shows seriously and we have many exciting things coming up.

That is in fact Dooku. The only downside to this trailer is the quality of the human faces, but like the CW cartoon, I'm sure once we get used to the animation style it wont be an issue.
Thanks, I should have realized it's Dooku as his clothes look familiar.
I have no problem with other human faces (I like especially Kenobi and Windu), but this one looks a bit strange.
Anyway, I am very optimistic regarding this series. It looks much better than I might have expected.

This project sounded to be the more exciting (to me) of the two television endeavors, and now that I've seen the trailer my feelings have been confirmed. Can not wait for this.
Was any info given as to what network will be carrying the show? Cartoon network again, or possibly Sci Fi Channel?

i believe that is dooku, he does look strange though, part of the 'toon' style that they are somewhat keeping, i would like to see a more realistic approach to his beard though
i was literally blown away by the graphics, the opening shot faded in and i was literally like 'whoa' i didnt expect it to be this great. the action looked amazing, and there were so many visual connections to the movies that make it feel like star wars, dont forget Williams amazing music, it really puts you there. i think the faces will be worked out with time, i would assume that although it is very important, you would do that last, for contextual reasons. lets hope the plot is great because visually this is shaping up!

Finally figured out the problem myself and at last was able to watch it on the official site. Solution: I downloaded the newest version of Flash from the Adobe website (formerly Macromedia Flash).
Hope this info. helps out anyone else having problems....'cause that's how I roll.

Nope, he got his scar from Asajj Ventress in the Republic comics. We've already found out how he obtained it.

I like the animation style, but I agree the heads/faces look a little...limited. We didn't get to see too many shots in the trailer with dialogue.
One thing I really liked about Dark Horse's Clone Wars/Republic campaign is that they definitely involved Anakin and Obi-Wan, but had a tonne of other plot threads running at the same time. Plus they did the Jedi miniseries, with double-size issues focused on a single Jedi: Mace, Yoda, Dooku, Shaak Ti, Aayla Secura.
I'm hoping we'll get something similar with SW: TCW.
For those concerned with the concentration on action in the trailer, I think that's to be expected. It's a trailer for the entire series; it's not going to get into the plot at this point.
