I LOVED the first season of Heroes. The second season was a lot more difficult to watch. I almost gave up towards the end. As far as Season 2, I think the last episode that they aired was the Season Finale. I'm sure it will come back, but just as Season 3.
The last I heard, could have been a rumor, was that Season 7 was going to be the final season. Of course I can't find any information on it right now, but I thought I remember that Keifer was signing on for two more seasons after the fifth season. HOPEFULLY things have changed!

Thank you, sir
The2ndQuest posted: I generally don't do midnight showings- i prefer the first evening showtime- it's just as packed, but you get a more honest experience since that's when the general public is more likely to see the film.
Meh, I'll get the honest experience the next day when I see it with the civilians But I'll have seen it before 'em, too

Blackout; couldn't agree with you more. If I am going to a midnight screening ... I mean, of course I'll watch the film at least a second time in the cinemas!
I thought I remember hearing mention of a $40 million deal that Kiefer scored for 24 awhile back. If I remember right, it said he was being paid for the next three seasons of the show ... now I thought that went up to #8, but I suppose I could be wrong.
edit-
Found it. Here we are Saber, according to this article, Kiefer has three more seasons after number 5. Let's hope that's still the case!
"The sharply plotted and suspenseful series is going strong in its fifth season, and Sutherland recently signed a 40 million dollar contract for three more seasons of the hit show, which has also seen enormous DVD sales."

Tyi, I think you're right!
People link
I DIDN'T READ PEOPLE.....I just googled it and that's what came up . Needless to say, I'm much happier about there being TWO more seasons (based on the article). I just hope they're both better than last season....

I was just Googling as well.
The last season wasn't too bad, come on. Seeing Jack with a beard again -- something we haven't seen since season two! -- was fierce. It makes him look reckless and, I mean, that's why we watch 24.
In regards to the season, it was interesting to see family relations at least. Have you seen the trailer for season 7?

RE: Judge Me By My Size, Do You?: Small Screen Star Wars Social Thread

I am absolutely stoked by small screen Star Wars so I just wanted to pop in and say what's up...
Before coming to Los Angeles and starting a small film production company, I reviewed a lot of movies online (my site is down now) and in the time since I've been reviewing, I've actually turned my focus from mostly just movies to mostly just television series. I have something like 175 seasons of TV shows on DVD and I just love the television medium. I guess what I love about it most is that you have a lot more time to develop character quirks and to become really attached to the characters. You also have so much time to make an epic storyline.
There are a lot of pros of television, like the ones I listed above and basically the ability to make TV become a part of your life for so long. Even the way I watch TV, which is never actually on broadcast just on DVD (I'll make an exception for Clone Wars, obviously!), I can get sucked into a show for a long time, many weeks, and when I finish I'm like... now what?! I seriously was depressed when I finished watching the first four seasons of Alias because I loved that show so much that starting any other show was just... depressing. I had a bunch of other TV shows on DVD, but every time I picked up the box I'd be like, "It's... not Alias." I didn't start anything for two weeks, actually I was so desperate I started rewatching Alias Season One and when I got about 6 episodes in I realized, "What am I doing?! This is insanity!" haha. But that's one thing I love about TV, and have learned, that you get really attached to it, then it ends, and you need to move on because there's too much other good stuff out there.
So now I watch about one season of TV every week if it's full length, i.e. 22-24 1-hour episodes. If it's half-hour episodes 3-4 nights. If it's 12 hours like HBO seasons (Deadwood, etc.) then about 4 nights, maybe 5. Depends if there's a weekend in there.
The negative of television shows, in my estimation, is they almost never seem to end appropriately. They always end too early or too late. There are very few where I can say, "You know, I loved that last season, but I guess it made sense to end that show, or in any case it was a great ending worthy of the show." I think Angel Season Five, the final season, was a great ending because all five seasons were absolutely brilliant, I loved that show (second to Alias in my mind for dramatic work), but I still think it could have went another season or two. In any case I can't complain, we'll call that a proper ending. The final season of Alias was terrible, in my opinion, it ended a season too late. Just bad, bad, bad. X-Files, 2 seasons too long. You get the idea. The Pretender, which I'm not finished with, didn't end properly either because they had to make two TV movies, and there were four planned, so that was premature. Deadwood didn't end right (I've only seen the first season, working on that show still, hehe), they still were planning TV movies there (2), but didn't happen and probably won't happen now. So that's the biggest risk, because the endings are never properly timed.
I don't see that being ANY issue with The Clone Wars TV show, at least, because they'll find the right time to end it where it makes sense. If it does incredibly well, which I'm sure it will, it's not like they'll feel bad ending it because they can always come up with another animated show (how about pre-prequels?! Sith era...) we'll watch.
So between the two Star Wars television shows, I'm really excited. I always wondered what it would be like when the prequels were over, I didn't want to think about it much because I was so excited about the prequels, but then when they ended it was kind of depressing. But at least we got the TV show announcements and that kept me excited. Despite authoring two Star Wars non-fiction books and writing an essay in another Star Wars book, I'm not an avid fiction reader. I am a very avid non-fiction reader, but I read books like on poker strategy, filmmaking, philosophy, politics, etc. I keep my reading for information purposes only. I've just never enjoyed fictional books much, so the expanded universe never much appealed to me. I've read about 9 books in the EU, but for me Star Wars belongs in the visual medium -- it's a visual story, definitely best told that way I think.

That's good news! But this might not be as good a news: check out this short 24 article, Saber.
G'day there Bowen! Very interesting to see how much you love television. By the way, I'm torn on Alias. I'd gently say that I think it ended a couple seasons overdue. The first two were utterly brilliant ... from then on though, I felt the drop in quality. So including the ones you've already mentioned, what are some of your favourite television shows?
Your mention of a KOTOR-era animated series made awesome images run through my mind. Now that would be awesome. But then again, frankly, any animated television show to do with Star Wars would get my blood running with excitement.

That could hurt the show, Tyi. I'm not too sure how involved he is with the creative aspects of the show; I just hope he's not too involved! Then again, as long as we have Jack and another season like 2 or 3 I'll be happy.
Bowen- what are the books that you've read in the EU?

Anybody seen Jumper yet? I saw a review for it on Film 2008 last night and Johnathon Ross (who I can't stand, BTW) absolutely ripped it to shreds. And he doesn't like Hayden much, either.

I felt a great disturbance in the force. As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror. Then were suddenly silenced. The Saga returns; August 15th 2008.

Oh man...don't say that...I was, actually still am really looking forward to that movie. Rotten tomatoes doesn't much like it either (13% positive). Oh well! It's got Hayden, Sam Jackson and some hot chick from that show the OC. I'm still seeing it this weekend

I'm still seeing it tomorrow evening as well. These initial things hurt, though. I was so hoping it would be a blast. In the meantime, I may actually see another film before then that I've been trying to see for some time . . .

I dunno guys, Jumper never really sounded great to me, and the trailers and reviews I've seen say it's mediocre.
Just watched The Assassination of Jesse James; extremely slow movie, but great.

Have you seen 3:10 To Yuma, Garth? I ask because you mention that new Western film -- since they are both from a genre not often seen these days, how would they compare to each other?

The Assassination of Jesse James is a very good movie, but slow as you said. I thought Casey Affleck was pretty good in it.
Garth, you're not going to go out and support your fellow Canadian?
