Everything's happening in May!
I'm actually surprised that the CW series isn't coming out in May in the cinemas. That is the Star Wars month after all.

How true that is. But I think when they released the special editions in '97, they release them in January! I think it might give them more time to get merchandise and advertising in order.

Well the Super Bowl for American football just happened a few weeks ago. My team was the first team to go 16-0 in the regular season, win 2 more games and lose in the Super Bowl! Talk about choking!
Baseball will be starting in about a month and a half and basketball and hockey are currently just beyond midseason. Those are the four major sports here in the states. Golf has definitely been getting a lot more people in the past ten years due to some guy named Tiger.

New England, hey? I saw the majority of that Super Bowl. I got a bit bored in the third half, though. The game was fascinating for the rest.

Well Adam Scott and Aaron Baddeley aren't too bad either. It's been a few years since Greg Norman was the last great Aussie on the PGA. Now they're are two young guys (probably even more) that are pretty high up in the world ranking.
Ahh yes, New England. I'm a Bostonian and naturally a Patriots fan. Out of curiousity and well, my ignorance, does there exist any type of Americanized football in Australia, or is rugby the closest sport to it?

You have snow? How much?  I've barely seen a flake all winter. 
When I stepped down, I asked not to be VIP'ed. I've had some sort of color and titlw assigned to my name, in one form or another, since June 2004. I wanted to go incognito for a while.  And not only that, I personally find theres a bit too much red out there in JC land, so one less red will be a good thing, I think. 
I'm not doing really this weekend. The GF is working. Its still a bit too early for getting out into my garden or going fishing. So, I'm just pottering around my house, bored, waiting for my lady to come home.

I hear you with that one. We got about 10 inches here in Boston. It's not bad because it's light, but completely ruined any chance of doing anything last night. I'm just ready for summer. It's much easier to do things during the summer because of the nicer weather and later sun setting hour.
There is definitely a lot of red out there. It seems like the JC has had a LOT of mods.
Is your GF a fan of Star Wars? or does she roll her eyes every time you mention it like someone I know?

You are in fact correct. Rugby League, Rugby Union and AFL (Australian Rules Football) are the three footie sports down here. We don't have anything else like grid iron (you do know what that is, don't you? ).
My weekend was a good one, although I fell a bit sick last night. In amongst church and a games night with some friends, I managed to watch about 9 episodes of Stargate SG-1 with a mate.

Well as I see it, you're lucky that you don't even see and icicle. We just got 9 or 10 inches on Friday night. It creates a lot of driving problems, not to mention getting rid of all of the snow.
Hey Tyi, do you have baseball down under? It's probably the most popular sport here (especially around Boston).
SG-1 is a sweet show. I can still remember when I saw the movie (Stargate) in theaters!

We do have baseball here. It's hardly a major sport, but it certainly exists. In fact, I played baseball for a season not so long ago. My neighbour is into the sport massively and is really good at it, so I had a go on his team one summer season. It's fun. Cricket's better. *cough*
