I'm kinda wishing they had it here in the states. Well, maybe they do somewhere, but I've never heard of it here. I just don't think it would be that big. Soccer, or football for the rest of the world is maybe 5th? or 6th? most popular even though it's the worlds most popular sport.
Not much going on here. MORE SNOW TONIGHT!#@# Not even cool. They forecast 3-7 inches. I'm so tired of snowstorms. Probably spend most of the weekend watching movies and/or on the computer. How about you guys? Anything good going on?

You guys should pick it up. You do have a team ... somewhere. Australia played you guys in an exhibition match once last year (or the previous) I believe. And we call it Soccer as well. It's growing down here — the World Cup two year's ago definitely had an impact on that.
What movies did you end up catching, Saber? I was at a ball/gala volunteering on Friday evening ... didn't end up doing much other than standing around, but it was interesting to be at the venue. Other than losing in a tennis tournament today (hey, he was the #2 seed, I was #3  ) I just went out to dinner last night and caught a movie.
How was EVERYBODY's weekend?

I watched a couple of movies this weekend. I saw Rush Hour 3 which is exactly what I expected it to be, mildly entertaining. It was just like the other two, same humor, almost same everything, but I still think Chris Tucker is hilarious. Also watched The Bourne Ultimatum, which I must say, was AWESOME. I thought it was the best of the three. I also heard on the radio that Matt Damon is in talks for another, the Bourne Legacy. And I think tonight, I'll be watching Ratatouille with the girlfriend.
Fan of tennis are you? Second place is still pretty good. I haven't played tennis since High School. What movie did you end up seeing?
It seems like these boards aren't too popular....yet. As August grows closer, I think more people will flutter on over.

Of course, of course. It makes for this little corner of the social thread to be nice and intimate at the moment though, doesn't it mate?
You hadn't seen Ultimatum before?! It's been out for months mate! I agree, SUPERB movie. I'm not sure if I'd rank it as the best though. They are all of such high quality. All three stand out as brilliant films. I've seen Ultimatum three times now ... I think I need to do a back-to-back-to-back Bourne viewing soon.
I saw Death at a Funeral. It was good for its purpose: have a bit of a laugh and then fall asleep.
Was Ratatouille deliciously good?

Yes, it is a nice little corner, I must agree. I'm not complaining!
Haha yea, I didn't get a chance to see it in theaters and then the ball kept rolling and I almost forgot about it. Great film. I need to watch it again. For Ratatouille, no dice on the dvd. We put it in and it was scratched. The second time a DVD from netflix didn't work. Oh well, I'll just return it and get it again and hopefully that one works.
I heard Death at Funeral was good. That is one I must see!

That's what sucks about renting dvds, isn't it? I hate it when they're scratched. You've put time aside to watch this film you've been wanting to see for awhile ... and then it doesn't play. 
Sorry to hear it. Is netflix the home delivery dvd place ... thing?

Yea, it's actually pretty cool. With my plan, I can have one dvd at a time. However, I'll mail it out on Monday morning, they receive it Tuesday, send another out Tuesday and I'll get it by Wednesday. They come in these pretty sweet self-packaged envelopes. With the amount they get handed around I'm not suprised by the number of scratches on them. So far, I'm defintely happy with the service.
Anything like that in Australia?

There is, or would be I should say, but I'm not familiar with them. I've never used it. My local video store is within walking distance. You can get weekly dvds on certain days for $1. Can you top that?

A DOLLAR?! I must say, I don't know of anything like that here. Except maybe for VHS, but I don't even know if they release movies on VHS anymore. Is the store a franchise or is it and individual store?

It's no worries mate.
Yep, one measly buck. The store is a franchise called Civic Video ... but do note that's just for weekly dvds as I said. New releases are more expensive. And the store does still have VHS's in stock ... but I haven't used a video for ages ...
How much do your rentals cost?

I don't know anyone who uses videos!
The plan I have with Netflix is 8 bucks a month. With that plan I can have one dvd at a time. There are many other plans but they're more expensive. I think the 8 is a great deal. If you go to Blockbuster, the biggest chain here, then it's 5 or so for a new rental and 3.50 or so for a regular dvd. I don't do that too often.
Just heard back from the sis.....not Australia...New Zealand. I wasn't sure the last time I talked to her. Either way I gotta go visit!
