My 3d yoda head is coming along pretty well. I've got the eyes, hair and skin color left to model. It looks pretty good with the displacement map already on there.
You own a Wii?! Dude, I want to try one of those out so badly. The IT guy at my work was complaining about arm pain because he played Wii Boxing for too long. Once everyone saw the Wii, did anybody else think of a game immediately....say....with lightsabers? That was the first thought in my mind.
Anybody else gots a Wii?

The Wii is a great party machine, but simply doesn't have the power the PS3 and XBox360 have.
Stuff like Wii Sports is great fun, but other than the Nintendo titles (Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. are particularly fantastic), the system isn't that great - although I've read Pro Evolution Soccer on the Wii is great.
SW:The Force Unleashed will be on the Wii, and has a "Duel" option for players to hack n' slash each other, but it's not "full" lightsaber control that everyone hoped.

Of course. That's one of the first game ideas that came into my head as well. In fact earlier today when I was discussing various things about the Wii with my brother that very thing was brought up.
I've seen the Saga Edition of Lego Star Wars claim to have some lightsaber action with the remote, but I would assume it's just to activate the standard moves already inbuilt into the game - not free-flowing lightsaber action.
Interesting about The Force Unleashed, Garth. It's not primarily a duelling game, but. What they need is just to create a hack n' slash fight-with-a-sword game that is completely controlled by how you hold the remote. Even if they had one without a Star Wars angle - e.g. fencing - that would still be cool!

Galaxy is amazing, simply a beautiful, clever game.
I haven't played it as much recently, because it's getting difficult and I don't have time to spend hours on a game anymore. But my wife loves it too, and she's not a gamer.
Recommended to anyone.
Oh, another crappy thing about Wii: Rock Band is coming out for it, but you can't use GH guitars, and they won't have downloadable content, which is a load of hooey as far as I'm concerned.

Well Galaxy is the first game I bought, besides the Wii Sport and Play, so I'll soon have an opinion on the newest Mario game as well!
Can you use the Guitar Hero guitars in Rock Band on other consoles? Like, is it just the Wii that's being silly? It would make sense that you could use the same guitars across both games for all systems . . .

Is this the OT Lego Star Wars that you guys are talking about? I'm currently playing the PT Lego Stars....it seems a bit easy. I guess it's supposed to be like taht because it's a kids game.
Yes, I'm just waiting for a good Star Wars/Lightsaber game to come to the Wii!

I was talking about the PT Lego Star Wars as that was the first one to come out. It is easy to beat the levels, but collecting all the extras is a bit more involved. Still, the fun of it cannot be denied.

That's true, every time I get done with a level I'm always missing some of the extras. Guess I'll have to go back and find them!
Anybody like the ROTS game? I've played and beaten it three times already. I thought it was a fun game and lightsaber fights were awesome. I'm not one for KOTR because of the role playing.

KOTOR is the best, I'm going through KOTOR II again right now.
I thought ROTS was pretty weak/average overall.
Rumor has it Bioware is developing a KOTOR MMORPG. That would be insane and much cooler than SW:Galaxies. I'm hoping they announce this during Spike TV's Saga thingie.
