Here I am again with more Jim Hill Media information.
He has a new article up regarding the live action and clone wars cartoon airing on ABC/Disney.
And he quotes ABC "sources".
Here is the link.

When you think about it, its probably not the strange for George to be attracted to Disney. I suspect he very much admires the independence that Walt Disney stood for. And when you think about, George Lucas is our generations Walt Disney.

I just hope that since the animated series is reportedly being made in HD, that it airs on a channel that supports HD. But more Star Wars at the Disney parks is great.
And HBO? I don't see George doing that because it wouldn't really grow the SW franchise. Sure, many of us (myself included) would fork over the cash to get HBO, but it would be a much smaller audience than what he could get with one of the networks.

HBO has some of the best shows on television...for adults. A family show is not what HBO needs. They need to repair the damage done by John From Cincinatti and some of the other flops.
As for Disney and Lucas, they are a lethal combination. Only reason the relationship went sour was because of the loads of money Eisner wasted on Rocket Rods. Lucas wanted to update Star Tours and they didn't have the resources to do so at the time. I for one cannot wait for the Lucas rehab n Orlando being a resident of that area.

It's a ride Disney spent tons of money on during the Tomorrowland 1998 rehab. It replaced the WEDWAY Peoplemover. It never worked right and was abandoned to ruin shortly after it was opened.
